If you watch some old films from the 1960s, you´ll see many american cars outside the USA: Not only in Turkey, but also in France, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Japan, Australia... There were even some factories in Europe: Some Plymouth-cars were built in Switzerland, Dodge had a factory near Amsterdam I think.
