My favourite game in the Midnight Club series, with great customisation. I wish they had left Paris in though, it had some pretty spectacular jumps.

There is suppose to be a Dodge Neon SRT4 in Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition.
Unless someone forgot it.

If the Remix version is on this page too, there are some more npc cars from Tokyo not listed (ex a Toyota Crown/Nissan Cedric Taxi, and another bus that's not an RTS)

Which version of the game are the traffic car images taken from? I'm just wondering, because compared to the playable vehicles, they look awful - with their extremely low resolution textures and thin wheels (which is quite odd, for a 2005 game), although the variety is notable - you've got a snow plow, utlility truck, 4x4s, 18 wheelers, and 2 different ambulances, to name a few.

I never care much for graphics, to be honest, especially as these are NPC cars (thus, they don't get much attention anyway). So this is more of a trivial question.

Somebody messed this shit up. Is it standard version of the game or remix, because tokyo wasn't available in standard version and some cars shown here also were added in remix version. Should I add remix as a new game and someone will delete some cars from here?

Its the two game on one page, MC3 remix is just an add on, like a DLC.

It's not rare, it's scripted to appear at that one time in that one race. Same with many other traffic vehicles.

Merci

Would anyone be willing to replace the old PSP/camera shots?

carcrasher88 US (22)

2013-05-31 18:03

I just noticed, we're missing the white/green van with a ladder on the roof and a traffic cone on the rear bumper. Not sure if it's a Chevrolet Astro or an Express.

I wish I could get a good shot of it, because I just found one on a track in Atlanta.

carcrasher88 US (22)

2013-05-31 19:49

Sorry for the double post, but there's also a yellow bulldozer missing as well. I just found 2 in the middle of the road on an Atlanta track.

Edit: Also, in Atlanta, there's a Mercedes-Benz ad that looks like it's advertising an SLK, which is otherwise absent from the game.

Problem is, on my TV, the ad is a bit blurry, so I can't get too good of a look at the details to determine if it really is an SLK, or just an SL that's already in the game.

Edit 2: Found a billboard on the freeway loop. It is indeed an SLK [R171], and judging by the wheels on the vehicle in the ad, it's probably an SLK 55 AMG.

carcrasher88 US (22)

2013-06-01 01:24

Again, I apologize for the consecutive posts, but I've accumulated a list of missing vehicles I've found so far.

- Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG (possibly, but it's certainly an SLK) [R171] billboard in Atlanta

- Possible Aprilia RS 125 billboard in San Diego

- Dodge Magnum SRT-8 billboard in Detroit

- Aprilia RSV 1000 R Nera billboard in Atlanta

- Utility van (either a Chevrolet Astro or Express, I'm leaning towards Astro), I found 2 on a track in Atlanta

- Yellow bulldozer, also found on a track in Atlanta

Could it be possible for someone to get shots of these?

sajmon14 PL (234)

2013-06-01 11:42

I would take these shots but I don't have my ps2 anymore and the game doesnt work properly on pcsx2

carcrasher88 US (22)

2013-06-06 23:35

Now I'm doing some runs through Tokyo (Remix) courses to find missing vehicles there. This list will be updated as I find more vehicles.

- Midnight Club II billboard on Tokyo Dome with what appears to be a Saikou XS (www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=25551) on it.

- Orange Toyota Crown Comfort(?) taxi

- White Isuzu Elf box truck (looks to be this model (www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=25519) with some additional text on the box)

I remember back in 4th grade of elementary school when I had this game on psp. The only cars I had was the Neon SRT-4 and the Bel Air - I was too busy hooning around the city rather than actually completing the career mode

Tycek PL (169)

2014-08-31 20:42

To be honest I believe many cars should be reuploaded again. Some pictures are simply terrible (Xbox version would be the best) and some cars are modified on their pictures (which is a bit against the rules).

carcrasher88 US (22)

2014-08-31 20:56

I don't have the Xbox version, in fact these are literally taken with a digital camera on an LCD TV with a PS2 copy of the Remix version.

But if need be, I could still supply some stock vehicles to replace the modified ones, starting with the Magnum R/T I'm using to get the images I'm uploading.

Tycek PL (169)

2014-08-31 21:06

I've tried the same method (that's why my pics are so awful), so dunno. Maybe it will be better to leave it that way until opportunity to add better picture will appear. A bit of additional input from other users could be nice, though.

I'll probably try to get some decent shots of some of the playable cars tomorrow.

carcrasher88 US (22)

2014-09-02 21:13

Gonna be a few more vehicles added shortly.

I'll be using a couple rear view images I've already posted (the Allied Transamerica truck, Atlanta Taxi Cab).

The rest will be all new images, including the Atlanta ambulance (since the game considers each city's ambulances, buses, and police cars as separate vehicles in the game's files), beater Monte Carlo, and some playable vehicles.

carcrasher88 US (22)

2014-09-02 22:57

Added the beater Monte Carlo plus a new entry for the Cadillac Escalade.

Adding new pages for the Atlanta ambulance and taxi and the Allied Transamerica International DuraStar.

Edit: Ambulance, Taxi, and the DuraStar have been added, and the existing pages for the DuraStar and Escalade will be marked for deletion.

Might get a frontal shot of the Detroit ambulance so I can make a new page for it and have all the ambulances (Detroit, San Diego, Atlanta, and Tokyo) completed.

Also planning to make new pages for more of the cars with modified cars on their pages.

2014-10-16 21:25

Yeah, those billboard shots were the best I could get.

Some of them were rather difficult, and that doesn't take into account the other Aprilla billboard in San Diego, the Kawasaki one in Detroit, plus the billboards with vehicles already drivable in-game (Chrysler 300 billboards in San Diego and Detroit, plus the Dropstars 300 ad in San Diego, the GMC Yukon Denali billboard in Detroit, the Lotus Elise billboard in Atlanta, and various Dropstars and DUB billboards with Cadillac Escalades on them, Hummer billboards in Atlanta and Detroit, plus a couple others I may have forgot about).

Perhaps images of those billboards could be taken and added to the comments of the drivable vehicles' pages?

tupacserbia RB (40)

2014-10-16 21:28

Good idea. :D

carcrasher88 US (22)

2014-10-16 22:09

They're pretty much all easy to find, but some are hard to get good shots of.

The Chrysler 300 ad in San Diego can be found across from the Water Park, the Dropstars one with the 300 is on the freeway at the last exit before the northern end near Petco Park, and the Detroit 300 ad can be found on a street along the freeway near the drawbridges that allow access to the industrial area.

The Yukon Denali ad is right near the Magnum SRT-8 one at the northwestern freeway end.

The San Diego motorcycle billboard (pretty sure it's either Aprilia or Ducati) can be found in at least two places, one on a high rooftop along the tram tracks near Petco Park, the other location being on a lower rooftop next to a green ad along a main street that has freeway on and off ramps connected to at the end of narrow side streets.

There's at least three Hummer billboards, one with a yellow H2 that can be found in various places in Atlanta and in a couple spots in Detroit (one being right at Vince's garage, across from a Pepsi billboard), another with what looks to be a red/orange H1 along the high rail tracks in downtown, plus a simple ad with just the name and the 'Like Nothing Else' slogan can be found in the industrial area.

The Lotus Exige billboards are easy to find and get an image of, with a couple large ones along the freeway loop and one on the loop around the cemetery.

There's a DUB billboard with an Escalade to the right of Carcity, next to the shortcut that goes through a parking garage to the freeway loop, and in a couple other spots.

The Kawasaki billboard is at a Detroit freeway exit but is a bit of a distance back from said exit, making it a challenge to get a good shot.

There might be a couple others that aren't already listed or I haven't mentioned, so if you find anything else, that would be good.

Dude , that's in MCLA not MC3...

Besides , '95 Impala SS is not appropriate to be a taxi because i guess it's a performance sedan which is not perfect for taxi and i've never seen 95' Impala SS as a taxi except the new 2006+ Impala taxi which is exist in Miami.... and yes , i know this is just a game but Caprice would be more appropriate rather than Impala...

Also , i don't want to involve in a fight ... i just wanted those taxi and squad cars changed into Chevrolet Caprice

tupacserbia RB (40)

2014-10-17 15:44

It's obvious they're '94-'96 Impala SS. The playable squadcars are Impala SS, as are the AI traffic versions. They have the same grill with just one bar running across, not the Caprice egg-crate style grill.

EstimaLucida DK (0)

2014-10-17 15:54

Exactly. The cabs still have Impala grilles and Impala everything, and so do the police cars. They aren't Caprices.

Sure, it's unusual to base a taxi on an Impala, but then video games have never really been bound by real life logic.

I forgot about the 1995 generation as i dont count it as Impala. For me its still a Caprice but with a bigger engine. The playable squad car is a licensed car and the grille on the licensed car is slightly different from the traffic car.

However in your case the full name would be "Impala SS" and not just Impala!

Sorry for the unlockable comment spam, it's just every vehicle except for the Scion TC, Jetta, Golf R32, Neon SRT4 , Cobalt, '64 Impala, '78 Monte Carlo and Eclipse need to be unlocked.

Excellent, now all that's missing are maps of each city and the billboard vehicles.

tupacserbia RB (40)

The billboards are extremely low detail until you get really close to them, and then they're out of the camera's shot.

carcrasher88 US (22)

True, and the ones that are easiest to get shots of are usually ones that are already playable.

In fact, if I was to rank them on a scale of 1-10 on the difficulty of getting a good shot, they'd rank like this:

Lotus Elise (playable) - 1

Hummer H2 (playable) - 2

Hummer H1 (I think the billboard one is either pickup or open top version while playable is hardtop)- 4

Aprilia RSV 1000 R Nera - 7

Kawasaki unknown (can't figure model so no telling if playable or not)- 9

Aprilia RS 125 - 6

Mercedes-Benz SLK55 - 5

Dodge Magnum SRT-8 - 4

GMC Yukon Denali (playable) - 3

Chrysler 300C (playable) - 6 (San Diego), 5 (Dropstars San Diego), 5 (DUB Detroit)

Cadillac Escalade (DUB) (playable) - 3

Added a prop version of the Mitsubishi-Fuso The Great flatbed that appears in a couple Detroit races as a jump.

This game was my game back a few years ago around its release! I had almost beat it but my disc got scratched and I never got it to work again. I even tried my usual fixing method of toothpaste for it. Only game that it didn't work on. :( Maybe I'll get the PC release on day and play this again. I had a full garage!

Except for the fact there's no such thing? You can emulate it with PCSX2, but your computer can't be a toaster - it has to have at least a quad core processor, 8gb of ram and a decent GPU with a few GB of VRAM if you don't want slideshow-tier frames per second.

Oh. I thought it had one. I thought I saw one in Walmart or somewhere before. I guess I'll just have to find one that works or fix mine.

Guys I have an issue with this game. I own 3 copies of it (because none of them worked) and now I fixed them all. But a few days ago I went to play it and when I got to "Press Start", I press the X button (Playing on PS2) and it will show my profiles for about half a second, then goes back to "Press Start" and refuses to let me play. I'm literally stuck there. And it does the same thing for three copies. Any ideas what's wrong? I really want to play MC3 again. :(

Remix version cars should be considered as DLC

Burn Rubber US (346)

2016-08-10 23:40

Question:

Shouldn't we remove all the DLC stars from the Remix Edition vehicles? The Remix edition is a separate game entirely. And you couldn't buy the Remix Edition content on the normal game as a DLC.

I think we should remove the blue stars and just put "Remix Edition only" in the Obtain field.

speedfreak975 LB (63)

Well back than that was considered like DLC i think, because without a blue star it's not clear that those cars aren't in the vanilla game

Vanilla isn't really the right way to say that. It implies the DLC marked cars are mods. ;)

Regardless, we shouldn't mark them as DLC as far as classification goes. A DLC is a DOWNLOADABLE Content. The Remix Edition was not a Downloadable patch to the game. It was a speperate game entirely. So IMHO the blue stars are wrongly used here.

No it wasn't, it's just a special edition of the game like NFSIISE.

AutoTracker US (70)

Or NFS Rivals Complete Edition. (I had to. :D )

speedfreak975 LB (63)

2016-08-11 08:18

both games are old , before internet was that mainstream. DLC wasnt DLC back then. things were different. they arnt downloadable content but are additional content. so i think we should alter the meaning of blue star because removing the blue star is also wrong
however new games like NFS rivals its clear that the complete edition is all dlc . like the ultimate edition of Forza horizon 3.

It's a limitation of the site. Listing them as DLC was the best compromise without creating a whole new, and largely redundant, listing for Remix. While the blue stars aren't technically correct to the letter of the law, they serve to differentiate the Remix cars from those of the base game, so as not to confuse the historical record as the years go by and memories of the game fade.

GroupB US (617)

2016-08-11 12:27

Or to put it another way, once you remove the blue stars, you have a bunch of cars listed under Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition that aren't actually in the game. It's far more misleading information for a new user than "DLC that isn't really DLC"

sajmon14 PL (234)

2016-08-11 12:39

Well I wouldn't add the starts. We could do something like short info about the car like: "Available only in the PS1 version of the game" or "this game appears as newer model in the otehr version of the game"

Racedriver43 US (103)

2016-08-11 12:41

How about a white star is added, which means the car is in a different version of the game?

That only works if the user clicks on each individual car. The stars are needed for the grid and list views, and will remain unchanged for now. Users who have a problem with it can view them as temporary pending a new kind of star that is more to their satisfaction, which you'd have to bring up with Rinspeed.

GroupB US (617)

Meanwhile, if people are wondering why the mods haven't approved their pictures yet, or why their their accidental typo still hasn't been corrected, it's because we're off dealing with important issues like this star controversy.

speedfreak975 LB (63)

2016-08-11 13:06

maybe we should rename the blue star as "additional content because back then DLC (in the sense of content not in the normal version) didnt exist only if it came via hard copy. so adding another star might be much....maybe just alter what the blue star means.

I'm pretty sure Rinspeed knows what's best

That might help with mobile games too, where a lot of the cars added are neither DLC nor unlockable, but rather temporary pay-for-play items.

Burn Rubber US (346)

Is this not the reason we have the How To Obtain field? For reasons like this?

I don't see any point of making the white star.

I don't think altering the meaning of the blue star is the right solution.

Really it would be easier just to add "Only available in Remix Edition" to the Obtain field and remove the blue stars than change the meaning of the blue star and possibly cause large confusion.

speedfreak975 LB (63)

2016-08-11 17:28

not really, i dont think how to obtain is the best idea.
plus DLC falls under "additional content" and alot of games could benefit from that like GroupB mentioned above considering many cars are added via free updates (usually mobile games ) and are not considered DLC however GTA5 new cars also added by free themed updates and get the blue star . saying additional content instead of downloadable doesnt change the meaning. it just widens the spectrum so the blue star makes more sense for older games when internet wasn't this mainstream

Burn Rubber US (346)

2016-08-11 17:30

I mean that sounds okay, but Rinspeed will have to agree first.

speedfreak975 LB (63)

2016-08-11 17:37

yeah, i think it can make things easier. especially in cases like the crew wildrun cars. if we change it to "additional content" then everything not in the original release roaster will get a star. but yeah its up to Rinspeed he knows best

GroupB US (617)

2016-08-11 17:38

What I meant about mobile games is that often cars are added through special events that only last a week or two and then you can't get the car anymore. Often to do well enough to obtain the car you need to go the IAP route. These cars aren't really unlockable because once they're gone they're gone, and they're not really DLC because the updates that introduce them are mandatory. "Additional content" would cover it pretty well.

Well emulators are really hard to run. Some PS2 games are absolutely unplayable on PCSX2 as well.
