I honestly don't see why people are so critical of the tuner aspect. I get the overuse of ricer nonsense, but at the same time recapturing the Hot Pursuit essence hasn't worked that well. Rivals was complete shit, imho. Plus, if NFS ditched the story aspect, it'll probably be just as uninteresting and dull as The Crew 2 or Gran Turismo Sport. Not saying they are bad games per se, but honestly never appealed to me.

Fast & Furious: Crossroads (2020) | Quite frankly, I'm more disappointed in what could have been. If the controls weren't so stiff and the multiplayer offered up some split-screen or bot matches, it probably might have been pretty fun to mess around with. And the inclusion of a Supra and Eclipse by way of a Season Pass really rubs salt in the wound. I honestly didn't want to hate this game. But I guess I'm a bit too naive to expect any better.

Fast & Furious: Crossroads (2020) | Asuka Langley Soryu wrote I kinda liked NFS: The Run for it's crazy bombastic action, but I wouldn't touch Prostreet with a ten foot pole. I hate simcade racers and the only thing that has going for it are the ridiculous crash physics and soundtrack. Seriously, what's the point of including a Subaru Impreza if you can't drift it? I liked Run as well despite me considering it an average arcade racer, I think it’s still playable even to this day, even compared To today’s F&F I’m totally ok with Simcades if they can give me a positive experience, so far I can’t say I didn’t like any GRID game for example, even though for me the Original game was the best I have never never really shown interest on drifting An Impreza so i can’t really say this is the majority of people thinking the same as me or you though, I mostly use them for rallying or a performance vehicle, so there is actually point why they are included at least from this perspective I’m gonna wait and hope PC3 to hold my hope that it will at least deliver a positive experience that F&F failed to do, especially that it’s coming from a big studio

Fast & Furious: Crossroads (2020) | Silnev wrote Is it any good? NO. It sucks. I would strongly recommend anyone who is slightly interested in this game to skip it. It is not fun in the slightest. In fact the whole game feels like a bunch of ideas thrown together and duct taped in a really shitty fashion. The driving physics is horrendous. Every. Single. Car. behaves the same. Whether it be the red van, a bowler wildcat, a dodge dart or a NSX they all slide about like they're on ice. You tap the brake and the car launches into a perpendicular slide that takes you off course into a wall. The game plays almost exactly like the Pimp my Ride game on the PS2/Xbox from 15 years ago. The settings are ridiculous and half the time I didn't realize where I was until the game screamed it into my face. Each level is presented almost like how every level was presented in Hot Wheels: Velocity X. Where you get one big map and every mission involves just going to specific locations on the map. I have not paid attention to the story in the slightest. There's some fanservice in the first area to the fast and furious 1-4 but the story is straight up nonsensical. The only bit I followed was that at one point the characters V, Cam and Sebastian (who's dead at this point) were set up by Letty and when they confront her, the response is "shit happens....anyway here's Dom!". The rest of the story I've followed is like a shitty fanfiction where someone inserts their character directly into the plot but they have to have the same upbringing as Letty and Dom since big reveal she's their daughter/sister/long lost relative. I'm still working through the game since it took hours to download (I paused it at one point and downloaded a Resident Evil in less time than it took for the game to update). Also the cutscenes look like shit and I swear aspects of the story were lifted straight from NFS Payback, the character you play as "V" looks for real like Navarro from that game. At one point she says "progressive" and I cringed. There's also some scum tactics with game. For example I got the physical version and it installed the game from disc in like 5 minutes which is really quick. Well turns out all it installed was the first mission and you had to download the rest of the game from an update....Just like Tony Hawk Proskater 5 if anyone remembers that fiasco. Also there's the fact it has a season pass for call of duty level of pricing (which for me is $44) and the Toyota Supra is EXCLUSIVE to the season pass even though you race it. There are some cars in the game I suspect are also going to be dlc because despite you racing them in the first area they don't seem to be playable in the online mode. For example I think the R34 GTR, Silva and the Veilside RX7 (yep it's in the game) are gonna be dlc. Speaking of the multiplayer I haven't been able to try it yet because despite it being launch day I only found 2 people online and you need I suspect 9 to start a game.... Anyway, TL:DR, Play NFS Payback if you want pretty much the same story about revenge and shit but with better gameplay and if you really need that fast and furious hit try and get the 2006 game, infinitely better than this shit. That's disappointing to hear. While I doubt it would've been good, I thought I would enjoy it as mindless shlock. But the cars felt way too stiff and the levels were too restrictive, even for a linear action game. The callbacks and references to the movies didn't really do much for me, even as someone that liked the movies as a guilty pleasure. Speaking of, I liked NFS: Payback and the 2006 F&F game, flawed as they were. Though tbh, the 2006 F&F game has some wonky driving physics as well, the drifting having the same stiffness as this game. Personally, I have a more satisfying F&F vibe with the 2009 game Wheelman, which ironically looked way better than this.

Fast & Furious: Crossroads (2020) | zackman1996 wrote While I agree with parts of this review, the driving mechanics weren't egregiously bad like the off-roading in NFSPB or a shovelware title I'm now saddled with named Super Street: The Game. Yeah super street isn't great. But it's just frustrating that if they did the 2006 game again people would eat that shit up. You'd get tons of support from car youtubers who would help promote it. But this, I think most people will only play it once or twice and probably forget it exists only to be reminded when they see it on sale in a bargain bin. Also the physics are pretty bad, heck the offroad physics is much worst than Payback. -- Last edit: 2020-08-08 11:35:29

And even me who dislikes mobile so much, I found out that the last one was quite easy to progress and get decent cars, it’s sad it was deleted off store, and I would totally play it rather than this But indeed, the 2006 one still remains my favorite, it’s not perfect but it was super enjoyable that I finished the game with a Full mark %100 progress NFS payback is decent, but I advice to get The last hot pursuit Too When it’s on sale (I loved it lot myself) -- Last edit: 2020-08-08 09:26:40

Fast & Furious: Crossroads (2020) | Just read the first review I could find...they gave it a 3/10. Main issues were the handling, lack of camera settings, framerate issues with online multiplayer, navigation of levels, and some lackluster voice acting for the new characters, though the voice acting was said to be great for the well known ones. Sounds like some of the issues are ones that COULD be addressed with an update to the game, but who knows what kind of updates it'll get.

Of course, I'm not counting on it being any good, but it might be fun for some mindless schlock, similar to Stuntman: Ignition or the Earth Defense Force titles. Plus, I kinda want to see a more action-focused car game that isn't just about racing, similar to the Pursuit Force titles or NFS: The Run. Frankly, I find that kind of thing a bit more refreshing than majority of racing titles than try to either be a racing sim or kart racer. Same here. Worst case scenario, its just some garbage like we all suspected. Best case scenario, perhaps some decent car action gameplay reminiscent of the SpyHunter games. The only thing we may be forced to bear is the dialogue. -- Last edit: 2020-06-21 12:08:04

I mean, The Order: 1886 is an exceptional looking game, and that was the worst game I've ever played on the PS4. But have you asked yourself as to why it looks like that, especially since it’s developed by SMS? Honestly, this is not their best, and gameplay wise looks bad, I watched an earlier footage, and it just looks awful, not only graphically but physically too Imo, the best Fast Furious game was from the PS2, and the last mobile game on iOS, other than that, the FF games have always been such a let down, I’m really not putting my hope up on this
