![]() Jaguar Mk.II Grand Theft Auto: Mission Pack #1 - London 1969 (1999) | austinallegro wrote On screen, the car was tarted up and polished to look nice, but underneath it was a bit of a dog. That often seems to be the case with classic cars in films and TV programs. Inspector Morse went on for years, were they just too cheap to ever fix the car up? By the way, originally Morse's car was definetely a Lancia, but I don't know if John Thaw ever drove one in any of the TV adaptations (I've never sat down and watched an entire episode of Morse). -- Last edit: 2008-02-18 14:04:16
![]() Jaguar Mk.II Grand Theft Auto: Mission Pack #1 - London 1969 (1999) | It's definetely supposed to resemble Morse's Jag.
![]() Jaguar Mk.II Grand Theft Auto: Mission Pack #1 - London 1969 (1999) | It should be listed as a MK2 Jaguar. Just because it is modified doesn't mean we have to list it as Made for Game, just look at this: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=5189

![]() AEC Mercury Grand Theft Auto: Mission Pack #1 - London 1969 (1999) | Can only be seen in one mission, it looks like they used the Fire Truck design as a base for this missile carrier. The funny thing is unlike the Soviets, the Ministry of Defence is not in the habit of parading its ballistic missles through the streets. Besides Britain only briefly flirted with land-based ICBMs in the late-50s when it built one test missile silo, since then submarines have been used for its nuclear contingency.

![]() Jaguar Mk.II Grand Theft Auto: Mission Pack #1 - London 1969 (1999) | This silly tank doesn't resemble any real life vehicle (unless someone made a giant golden version of a MkII Jag with a turrent on top) but I guess we could keep it here for the sake of completism.

![]() Ford Escort Grand Theft Auto: Mission Pack #1 - London 1969 (1999) | That hadn't occured to me before. Although this is a pretty fast car, I thought the name was a reference to "Z-Car".
