It´s basically a perfect replica of the Morris 1100

Austin 1100 (since that's the one police used), with a Ford Cortina like front end

The Cooper S didn't start production until 1963. Also, the wheel arches suggest this is a 1967 model or later

Because the game set in USA, that is the cause to put the origin model in USA, since the car was produced in this country.

This is not true, as I explained here: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=269586

It's a big job, but really all VW New Beetles should be changed to German origin.

1992 MG RV8

Definitely more MG-like elements than Triumph, and the front end is shaped like the later RV8
Porsche Boxster

Wheelman (2009)
It should probably be listed as the latter 2005-2012 Boxster (987) which the RK Spyder is based on, since it resembles the newer car more than the original.
Renault 5 GT Turbo

On The Run: The Getaway (2013)
The bodykit is based on the Renault 5 GT Turbo, and was never offered on the LeCar.

SpotRacers (2018)
Do I really have to spell it out that his looks exactly like a Jaguar XE to get my edit accepted? I would've thought the other two comments should've been enough.

Porsche 911 GT1

Speed Up (1996)
The details are far more Porsche than any Ferrari. Most likely based on a Porsche 959 or Porsche 911 GT1 (993).
Lamborghini Diablo

Speed Up (1996)
Both bumper textures are taken from a Lamborghini Diablo, which this car is closer to in shape than the Countach.

I found a comment on IMCDB that explains why it's American:

But that comment has fundamentally misunderstood what the origin is supposed to represent. As far as I'm aware, it's not usually the location of the original concept's design studio.

The 1994 Volkswagen Concept One was designed at VW's Simi Valley design studio in California. However, the production version of the New Beetle was designed by Peter Schreyer in 1997 at VW's HQ in Wolfsburg, Germany. This is also where production started before moving to Mexico in 1999.

Unlike those Brazilian and Chinese VW's, the New Beetle is not exclusive to the American market. In fact, certain key models such as the New Beetle RSi were never available in America.

I know. But that's just how things are here.

Then maybe it's time for things to change, because if there isn't a better reason for the US origin, the VW New Beetle should be listed as German from now on.

I looked into it and asked around. To my understanding the reason the beetle is listed as american was because it was designed by an american.

While that may be true, it's not uncommon in the car industry to utilise designers or design studios from another country. A good example is the Mazda MX-5 Miata, which was also designed by an American studio, but they are (rightly) listed as Japanese.

The New Beetle never was sold to Germany?

They were both sold and built in Germany, which makes me wonder why New Beetles are listed as American on IGCD? I'm not an expert on the Beetle, but I can't seem to find any legitimate claim to support a US origin for these?

This is wrong on so many levels, but worst of all is that the side texture seems to be taken from a Vauxhall Vivaro police van, but it doesn't even properly fit on this American imposter.
Ford Fiesta RS WRC

Grand Theft Auto V (2013)
I'm not sure how this was mistaken for a Fiesta, because it is clearly based on a late 00's Focus. Most likely the Ford Focus RS WRC 07 or the 2009-11 Ford Focus RS.

I have only been able to find that front-end with the extended headlights all the way to the grill in the chinese Taurus, is there any pics of the chinese Mondeo with the same front?

Honestly I hadn't noticed that detail and just assumed it was meant to look like the Euro Mondeo/US Fusion. I guess I stand corrected.

Why was it called Focus Cosworth? Was it an evolution of the 1999 Focus WRC in prototype format?

It was developed by Cosworth as a potential successor to the famous Escort RS Cosworth, and yes it was inspired by the WRC car. Although I can't say for certain, this was probably developed into the original Focus RS in 2002.

Knowing that most generations of the Transit were manufactured in the factory in Germany, from which generation did the Transit begin to be manufactured in Turkey? in the sixth generation?

The main Transit model was never actually built in Germany (only the Taunus Transit was). The Transit factory timeline looks a bit like this:

Germany (Taunus Transit): 1953-1965
United Kingdom: 1965-2013
Belgium: 1965-2003
Australia: 1966-1986
New Zealand: 1966-1986
Turkey: 1967-present
South Africa: 1967-1974
The Netherlands: 1975-1981
China: 1997-present
Belarus: 1997-2000
Vietnam: 1998-present
Romania (Transit Connect): 2002-2013
Russia: 2011-present
Spain (Transit Connect): 2012-present
United States: 2013-present

It gets complicated, and I haven't even mentioned how the current Transit is both the 4th generation and the Mk 9 because of how different markets called the mid-gen facelifts.

Was not the first generation made in Germany?

Ford is complicated, since they make many vehicles that aren't sold in their home country.

Ford Europe was created when Ford Britain & Ford Germany merged in 1967. Although they are currently based in Germany, they have factories across Europe, and many of their older models have strong British heritage.

The original Transit was developed by Ford Britain in 1965, but was later built in Belgium, The Netherlands & Turkey. The Transit was also the last Ford to be built in Britain, after production was permanently moved to Turkey in 2013.

Sorry? Wasn't MG who sold the Metro first?

It started out as the Austin Metro in 1980, but was rebranded to Rover in 1987 when the Austin name was retired. During this period, the MG name was only used for performance versions of Austin & Rover models, hence the sportier Metro was an MG.
