The front end reminds me a lot of the 8th-generation Volkswagen Passat.
The grille & headlights are definitely DuraStar-esque, but the rest of the cab reminds me of the Kenworth T370 instead.
It honestly looks more like an International 4000-series commercial chassis truck to me: the things near the top of the vehicle are clearly the hood & fenders of a medium-duty truck cab.
Turns out that this is apparently NOT a Model A (despite it being marked "A") but a Model B, G, or H instead (which all share the same basic design). The single exhaust pipe with no secondary pipe beside it is like the Model H's, but the belt pulley is more like the Model G's in both placement & design. EDIT: My mistake: it seems that the Model A actually DOES have the same design as the B, G, & H, which of those four this particular tractor is exactly who knows though. -- Last edit: 2023-06-14 02:53:51
Pretty sure this is actually a combination of three Pierce models: the Lance, the Dash, & the Saber, going by the design & the presence of what's undoubtedly a Pierce-style logo on the bottom of the grille (though compared to all the models it's in the wrong spot). The lack of a metal strip across the headlights points to a Saber, but the location of the front turn signals points to a Dash. The truck also has the flat roof of a Lance. EDIT: Upon further investigation it would seem that this truck is a combination of this 2008 Saber: s3.amazonaws.com/00do0000000jlleea4/01t-product2/01t1N00000JNi8HQAT/large_11810-1.jpg (flat roof & turn signal position) & this later-year Saber: www.piercemfg.com/hubfs/Saber%20Custom%20Chassis/SaberHeroImage.png (grille design & logo placement) -- Last edit: 2022-07-09 17:19:49
This is a Generation 4 Camry; Toyota only entered the NASCAR Cup Series with the Camry in 2007, the last year of Generation 4, thus it's a 2007 Camry, not a 2011.
I have identified Eddie as a Caterpillar E110B thanks to finally noticing the model number on the left-rear side.
The headlights and front end appear to be from a Porsche 996.
Looks like a cross between a Hyster H130 and a Komatsu FG 60 to me. -- Last edit: 2016-06-26 18:33:59 |
