Auto-Friki wrote What? Made in Germany? But the aesthetic of the design tells me that it is design made in Canada. Did Neoplan have a factory in Canada to manufacture buses in the USA? It wasn't built in Canada, Neoplan had a subsidiary in the USA: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoplan_USA

Why was this changed to a '85 Taurus? It's clearly a second generation model - and at least a 1993, because of the colored bumpers: imcdb.org/vehicle_1105904-Ford-Taurus-DN5-1993.html The first generation had different headlights: imcdb.org/vehicle_672776-Ford-Taurus-DN5-1989.html Not to mention that the first model year was 1986, not '85. -- Last edit: 2021-01-12 02:32:10
JFK wrote I am getting toyota vibes from this. You are right, the rear part of the car is based on the Corolla (E100): imcdb.org/vehicle_329215-Toyota-Corolla-E100-1993.html But the front is from something else - maybe a Chevy Lumina? imcdb.org/vehicle_26408-Chevrolet-Lumina-GM10-1995.html
This van has the 2003-07 grille, so the correct name is E-Series, not Econoline.
The car is called in the game's dialogue a "Chevrolet Malibu 83". As far as I know, the only difference between a '82 and a '83 Malibu is that they have different badges, which aren't visible on the picture - so I think it's better to list it as a 1982 Malibu instead.
On closer inspection, I'd say it's rather a 1972 Chevrolet Impala or Caprice sedan. -- Last edit: 2021-01-08 15:36:22 (Klumb3r)
For some reason, this car reminds me of the Premier from GTA IV/V. -- Last edit: 2021-01-08 15:36:17 (Klumb3r)

Heavy Rain (2010) | I have just finished this game, I'll add some missing vehicles and better screenshots. Also, the game has a lot of unlockable concept arts - I made an album of those ones, in which vehicles are visible. I tried to identify as many cars as I could: imgur.com/a/rn5TIQ0
I'd say that this is rather a 1980+ Ford B-Series school bus rather than an International: imgur.com/dOfLj1H i.ebayimg.com/images/g/vJUAAOSw~IFbrj1A/s-l1600.jpg It even has a similar badge on the bottom right part of the grille.
I have recently replayed this game, and on closer inspection, this is a Ford Fusion Hybrid, not the Sport trim level: imgur.com/xELDGYB upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/37/Ford_Fusion_Hybrid_7887_VA_11_09_with_badging.jpg
With that grille, it's rather a 1992-95 GMC Vandura: imcdb.org/vehicle_126951-GMC-Vandura-1992.html
Carcrasher88 was correct, it's a 1995-97 Dodge Ram Club Cab [BE].
RealCarter wrote It looks more like a 1982 Lincoln Continental to me en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_Continental#/media/File:82LincolnContinental.jpg The shape of the wheel arches are quite similar, but apart from that, I'd still say it's mostly based on a Malibu: i.imgur.com/sOPoaVl.jpg Not to mention that Lincoln is also too luxurious choice for a police car or a taxi.
RealCarter wrote To be honest, i can't see a Malibu here. Also, Albany is a GTA version of Cadillac Okay, then what do you think it is? Because it's surely not a '80 Seville. And yes, Albany is Cadillac in the GTA world, but a lot of vehicles in GTA 4 have wrong manufacturers: The Huntley (Range Rover), the Speedo (Chevy Express), the Bobcat (Chevy C-10) are all manufactured by Vapid (Ford), the Feroci (Lexus GS) is made by Bravado (Dodge), the Ingot (Nissan Stagea) is Vulcar(Volvo), etc.
I know that this car has been listed as a Cadillac Seville for years, but could someone explain to me why? Because it doesn't matter how I look at it, I just can't see any similarity: cdn1.mecum.com/auctions/fl0120/fl0120-395529/images/img2638-1577643485148@2x.jpg?1577643513000 barrettjacksoncdn.azureedge.net/staging/carlist/items/Fullsize/Cars/157834/157834_Rear_3-4_Web.JPG The way I see it, it looks like a 1982 Chevrolet Malibu with a different C-pillar, and with the taillights of a 1982 Pontiac Bonneville: i.pinimg.com/originals/14/00/75/140075444354eaa17985dc53e747b9b8.jpg images.thetruthaboutcars.com/2010/04/CC-71-071-800.jpg Also, Roman's Taxi and the Police Roadcruiser are based on the Esperanto, and I doubt that a Cadillac would be used as taxi or a police car. -- Last edit: 2020-12-02 20:21:23
The beta Burrito model, which also appears in GTA V: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=59510 Like I said it on that page, it looks more like a Ram Van. -- Last edit: 2020-11-23 01:04:50
According to GTA Wikia, this wreck also appears in GTA IV, but it's not listed on the game's page. Also, I think looks more like a 1986-93 Dodge Ram Van, apart from the position of the turn signals. For comparison: Econoline: imcdb.org/vehicle_528194-Ford-Econoline-1979.html imcdb.org/vehicle_74482-Ford-Econoline-E-150-1979.html Ram Van: imcdb.org/vehicle_431014-Dodge-Ram-Van-1986.html imcdb.org/vehicle_1196133-Dodge-Ram-Van-1986.html -- Last edit: 2020-11-19 12:26:08
The DB9's first model year was 2004, not 2003. I'll also edit the other ones with incorrect year. (Watch Dogs, Forza Horizon 4-5-6 and Project Gotham Racing 3)

Manhunt (2003) | I have already posted this before the comments disappeared, but in the game files, there's a photo of a tuned Mitsubishi FTO and the cover art of GTA 3: -- Last edit: 2020-10-12 18:27:13
Looking closely at the texture, there's a writing on the left side in the middle. It starts with a "C", so perhaps could it be an Oldsmobile Cutlass?
ahadikaputra wrote Blista Compact? Yes, with GTA 3's alloy wheels. Oddly enough, after the cutscene it changes into the beta Blista Compact model.
Unfortunately, it's impossible to get a better view ingame, so here's the car's texture map:
I have this game for more than a decade, but I have just discovered an interesting detail about this car - it's based on the custom built 1999 Plymouth Prowler, that was auctioned to promote KISS's Psycho Circus tour. It was the 300th Prowler built and it was customized by TGF Metalcrafters Inc. Picture of the car: kissasylum.com/psychocircus/photos/Kisscar.jpg Commercial featuring the car: www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3TMHb2-pY8&ab&ab_channel=TraxxGallery Sources: www.kissfaq.com/forum18/viewtopic.php?t=49205 barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1999-PLYMOUTH-KISS-CUSTOM-18337 Sure, the car in the game looks slightly different, but it has the unique hood louvers, which aren't present on other Prowlers. Also, there's an easter egg text written on the inner side of the wheels, that says "Third Law (the game devs) kicks ass!!!" -- Last edit: 2020-10-07 00:54:08
Driv3r (2004) | I posted better screenshots in the comments about two years ago, but honestly, I completely forgot about it. Technically, this is a Dodge Ram Wagon since it's the passenger version.
The name of this car is incorrect - the 2006 models were called Lincoln Zephyr, it was renamed to MKZ in 2007.

This car model was reused from Beyond: Two Souls, not Heavy Rain: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=73545 It even has the same license plate. However, that one is listed as a Honda Accord and this one is a Toyota Camry. I'd say it's more similar to the Camry.
If this is the same pickup as on the game's cover art, then I'd say it's rather a 1982-87 Chevy El Camino.

Postal 4: No Regerts (2019) | TheGreaser wrote Regerts? That reminds me of the Milky Way commercial a couple of years ago, when a tattooist accidentally gave the guy a "No Regerts" tattoo. Should've been No Regrets. This reminds me of when Capcom released Resident Evil "Revelaitons".
hydren wrote I'd say its a 1992 Jeep Grand Cherokee if you examine in-game sprites rather than the game cover. The front matches very well (note the amber part under the headlights). The first model year of the GL [X166] was 2013, not 2012.
I'm 3 years late, but DariusPumpkinRex is correct - the full name of this wagon is Plymouth Fury Sport Suburban.
Maybe a Lincoln LS? | ||
Quantum Break (2016) | I added better screenshots for these cars more than a month ago, but they still weren't replaced: -Cadillac Escalade -Chevy Camaro -Chrysler T&C -Dodge Ram -Lambo Gallardo -Land-Rover Range Rover -Nissan Rogue -Pierce Dash -Prevost X3-45 Also, the game does have damageable vehicles. The Accord, the Camry, the Explorer and the Impala (both the civilian and the Monarch variant) can explode when shot.
No, it's MFG. Most Lego cars of this size aren't based on anything. There are few exceptions, such as this one looks like Charger, but the car above is just too generic. -- Last edit: 2020-02-19 21:08:50 |
