I don't understand what you mean by "DP"...
The Porsche 862 already existed in the 1980's... another option was Nissan R90CK, but I think the top rear half of this game car is more Porsche than Nissan.

Thannks for replying to my comment!

ItsaUserName, it's good to know that I'm not the only one who gets frustrated at how long it often takes for unknown cars to be filed, or changes to be made to game cars with a wrong identity.

Black Bart, I understand that it's not always easy for a moderator to keep up with the incredible amount of vehicles on the site.

About myself:
I can say that I don't jump to conclusions easily... I search the internet most particularly when trying to identify an "unknown" game car or to find the true identity of a game car that I feel is filed under a wrong name.
I always try to add links to photos in my comments, so everyone can verify my findings.
When I'm not sure, I add a "?" and when I discover an error in one of my comments, I delete it straightaway and post a new comment with fresh information.

This note is a not about this vehicle, but a GENERAL COMMENT.........

I wonder why we (car maniac "members" of IGCD) put so much effort in trying to identify game vehicles.
I truly enjoy searching - it makes me learn a lot about car history - but vehicles remain filed as "unknown" for far too long, way beyond the moment at which their identity becomes clear.

This is serious criticism to the IGCD moderators... I think they should put more effort in trying to maintain a proper game cars database.

This car even has a round container at the front (which makes it look like a St. Bernard rescue dog) and a car number on the side... I wouldn't be surprised if the gamemakers had actually seen this car before they created this "Speedster".

This Midnight Hauler has this round thing in the center of the front, so it's a Tucker Torpedo, not a Mercury Eight. The left headlight is missing though, but then again, all cars in Stunt Racer 64 are a mess.

No! If you look at it carefully, you can see that this is a boxier version of a 1991 Crown Vic. Even the front didn't match an 80's Diplomat.

Read one of my previous comments to see why it is DEFINITELY NOT a Ford Crown Victoris.

All cars in Road Rash 64 are unplayable and (maybe) therefore very stylistic. You have to own this game to be able to judge the cars.
This police car has huge rectangular taillights and low outward front signal lights, so it's either a 1980 Dodge Diplomat or a 1982 Plymouth Gran Fury.
I think the complexity of this front styling makes it most likely a 1980 Dodge Diplomat.

It's the same. The [EF] Civic is still in production until 1992. So no need to change anything.

Usually, when identifying and filing a car, we mention the year in which a new generation of a model was introduced, unless radical cosmetic changes were executed throughout the period.
So for me it makes sense to file this one as the 1987 Honda Civic.
