Usually, when identifying and filing a car, we mention the year in which a new generation of a model was introduced, unless radical cosmetic changes were executed throughout the period.
So for me it makes sense to file this one as the 1987 Honda Civic.

Initially I assumed this car to be a Honda Civic Mk V, because of its typical rearlight units, but on second thoughts the overall (angular) shape (body & windows) is more like a Honda Civic Mk IV.
