Well despite all that we still have JDMRR saying its a GT Proto. :/

Best to just stop trying to explain it.

Just look at wheels, mirrors, it's RHD unlike the concept. Plus the Gulf-alike paintjob clearly tells which one is this. Plus it's listed as a GT40 already...

It's JDMracerrocket. I expected as much. :/

In his defense they do look kind of similar. Despite they are almost 50 years apart.

lol I knew this will turn out that way. This is the 60's one but look at this pic and you will see why they named it just 'GT'

cdn.pinthiscars.com/images/1966-ford-gt40-wallpaper-3.jpg

And the in-game one clearly doesnt look like the concept

I think the overall shape corresponds more with the 75 Monte Carlo: www.webcarstory.com/voiture.php?id=15654
The headlights were probably taken from a contemporary Chrysler/Ford/Imperial/Lincoln/Mercury.

The 78 Eldorado has quite a lot of differences: www.webcarstory.com/voiture.php?id=14461

I find it kind of shocking that an American has never seen hidden headlights like that. I mean, here in Europe there are pretty much no cars with headlights that turn all the way around, but in the States there were plenty of those in the 70s.

Well, only other reason why it looks like I could think of, that is the way how it's "tapered" towards the rear, or the whole rear part is somewhat rounded, I mean, these two angles it just throws it off. But nevertheless, I seriously doubt they'd make two models that are basically "clones" just to have that slight variation in that section of the windows in a game like this. Just doesn't make any logical sense unless they try to be bothered and add in details to make it different from each other.

Why would they go to the trouble of adding two similar models in a game like this when the developers were intending to put more emphasis on the playable cars? It doesn't make any sense.

The frontal pic looks like it's flat, because of the angle, it's hiding to how it'd be rounded at the back, here's a real Arosa. Roughly same angle, but even though it's not as the same shape of the one in the game, the rear end is rounded, but from this angle, we can't see that.

Also, that "shine" effect, or texture on the rear window makes you think that it looks rounded.

The second picture doesn't show how angled the rear is compared to the frontal pic, but like civic said, it's the same car, looking at how both has the same details like the side trimming, fender turn signal light, and the way how the side windows are shaped, plus I don't see any other traffic car that'd look like this.
