![]() 2010-10-29 09:51 | This is a Plymouth 'Cuda! There were Challengers and there were Challenger R/Ts. It's the same with the Barracudas. The fast ones were just called 'Cuda (340, 383, 440, 440-6, 426 c.i.). It has nothing to do with the year they have come out, it was just performance marketing ("the 'Cudas are too fast, you don't have enough time to speak out the entire name"). The first Barracuda that was sold as a 'Cuda was the '69 'Cuda 440 (rare!). But there were also e.g. '71 Plymouth Gran Barracudas. And this Hemi 'Cuda is definitely a 'Cuda!

Edit: "The high-performance models were marketed as 'Cuda deriving from the 1969 option." So its correct to call this a Cuda as it uses the HEMI which was the high performance version. So this was right called a Cuda? Argh, now i´ll have to undo everything.
