Most of factory produced armored vehicles has been desighned for use one model of weapon. For example: soviet ZSU-57-2 is a special vehicle, but technicaly it's just a T-55 tank with another turret and S-68 AA-canons, but it will be wrong ti mark ZSU-57-2 as "T-55". Returning to BTR-152, original BTR-152 is a base for many factiry-produced machines like other militaru vehicles.

Here chassis is the same, the only difference is gun. But since it was counted by Soviet military as different model (152A) it's okay. What if it wouldn't be?
