Hm well would you look at that, Well that is a silly mistake by myself. I guess I just made a blunt assumption based off what I knew at the time, and previous mafia games had a parallel to real life type brands, hm Well I guess now all bets are off, I will look up other roadster type cars later and see what I can find.

patridam 2016-10-18 02:33	Well nearly all of the vehicles in Mafia III take influences from more than one vehicle, but its our job to find which one is most dominant. If both of you agree (as do I) that the Cobra is the closest of the several sports cars of the era that the Opus is based on, then we should list it as a Cobra.

Mel 2016-10-18 00:00	I'm aware that the rest of the car is completely different from the Jensen. I wasn't implying the 541 was the primary basis for the car. I was just saying the front end in particular is nearly identical. Generally speaking, the Opus appears to be a combination of various 1960s sports cars. From the Jensen's front end, the Austin-Healey's two-tone paint scheme, the AC Cobra's coke bottle design, etc. The Cobra's front end is also pretty similar to this car's front, but I still think the Jensen is a bit closer when you consider the front bumper's design as well as the size and shape of the grille. With that being said, it's a bit difficult to say what car specifically the Opus is based on, but I have a feeling the Cobra is probably the closest we'll get.

I guess this is how we identify cars here. That would be your opinion. The front is closer to the Cobra with the big fishmouth grille rather than vertical bars as with the Healey. The hood scoop is in the Cobra location; there's no side sweep as with the Healey; and there's massive "hips" behind the door as with the Cobra (the Healey is totally flat along the side). The rear and the taillights... look like neither. This also has a V8 engine sound and 3D model, not a 6 cylinder. And the damn thing has two seats without any space or mini-seats behind the front ones - again like the Cobra.

stryder237 2016-08-20 19:50	I'm pretty sure that this pic confirms some sort of car customization. In the picture we can see some large racing tyres, a roll bar, splitler and spoiler. In the video you could see other models of the car without the spoiler and roll cage (too far to see in greater detail. In some videos you can also see a massive side-exit exhaust on Lincoln's car that doesn't appear in each video and is unlikely to come from the factory. Also, in the heists trailer there is the El Camino-esque truck with a bed cover and roll cage in the bed.
