In FM4 you can add Euro-spec bumpers, but sadly they don't change the headlights, just the bumper itself. It does look better imo.

I don't know, I prefer complete models myself. With kits like that I'm afraid it'll just end up looking tacky like the 930 Turbo with the 964 front in Forza 4. :p

Another option would be OEM kits for this purpose. You get an Euro car and you could add US bumpers, and the other way round too, of course. In many cases they only have to add/erase the extra lights and done.

Well, it just boils down to what you're used to I guess. Personally I'd rather see the Euro-spec GTI as well (with the Pirelli alloys to boot). :miam:

But obviously, this is still way better than nothing. ;)

I see...

Anyway, I don't mind them using US Spec models, they will make people happy in the US (I prefer the cleaner Euro look with less lights, though) but in this case...this car was born to have rounded lights. That's why it would be great to have each car from their own country spec, that would mean japanese cars with RHD, but...it's the way it should be, in the end.

The US did not get the GTI until 1983, some 7 years after Europe. By that time, the Rabbit had been facelifted with square headlights. When the base Rabbit debuted in the '70s, it shared round headlights with the European Golf.

So, the GTI always had square ones, but the normal ones (at least some) had rounded? I'm confused now.

Where? We never got that one here. This is the GTI I remember from the '80s.
