2012-03-25 16:29 | It is related to both the Charger and the Road Runner, actually. The Charger was a little larger, and the Super Bee was the cousin to the Road Runner (both being their respective brand's low-priced muscle car (the Coronet SB costing $3,207 in '68)). They all used the B-Body architecture (also shared with the Satellite, GTX, Belvedere, and of course, the Coronet). Another key connection was the availability of both the 440 Six Pack and the 426 Street Hemi. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Super_Bee#1968.E2.80.931970 |
