2016-03-21 09:51		1997 S40, built for the British Touring Car Championship in 1997, and uses a 2 litre naturally aspirated 5 cylinder engine, which makes around 300 hp, and revs to 8500 rpm.
The car weighs around 975 kg.
1997 was not the best year for Volvo, in BTCC since almost no other car could come close to the all conquering Williams Renault Lagunas in that year, but in 1998, Volvo came back strongly, and won the championship :)
