| The DMC-12 was a handsome old beast with its stainless steel body, at least until it got covered in bird poo and fingerprints, and its Lotus engineering, even though it had Cortina front brakes and Jaguar back brakes. And it was made in Belfast, in a time when it looked more like downtown Baghdad. | |

I'd say it's an American company nonetheless, because the company's headquarters were located in Detroit, only the cars were manufactured in Northern Ireland.  | |
