Actually, this one's technically a tuned Vauxhall Carlton (hence the name), the tuned Omega was called the Lotus Omega. Just sayin'.

Is it wrong for me to say this car is based upon the largely German developed Opel Omega [A]?

Admittedly improved a great deal by Lotus.
