Neither cars had them irl but I think this might be some general Japanesey influence. Oh, and the proportions are tall and narrow, quite like a huge amount of Japanese subcompacts, not only from the 60s. | |

The point is that they took a mini and took some influence from those cars you mentioned in making it look unlicensed. Of course another connection could be made that it's called the Bogen 25, and the modern Mini in the same game is called the Bogen 50. That seems pretty deliberate to be honest. | |
