Porsche 911 Turbo Watch Dogs 2 (2016) | To me this looks like a weird mix between a Porsche 911 and a Mazda Cosmo with a completely unrelated rear fascia. -- Last edit: 2023-09-27 01:09:09

Porsche 911 Turbo Watch Dogs 2 (2016) | Must still be a Porsche, just not a 911. The whole design seems to look more mid-engined
Toyota Prius Watch Dogs 2 (2016) | Vxctec wrote I'm referring to the real vehicle, but yes, I don't see why people despise the previous generations. Toyota Prius Watch Dogs 2 (2016) | Victor_2003 wrote There is more people that think the same. Do they? Personally I’ve been seeing a lot and lot of favorable views of the Prius’ new design on social media. I do admire the raindrop design, including the color options and range.

International TranStar Watch Dogs 2 (2016) | carcrasher88 wrote Agreed, it certainly seems to match the 387 much better than the TranStar, while the vent on the cowl looks like that of the International DuraStar, just flipped upside down. Also notable is that this truck design seems to have replaced the cabover design also found in the orignal WD, save for the garbage truck variant, as garbage trucks altogether seem to have been omitted in this game. The Small Box Truck version of the cabover was replaced by the MatarHorn Trucks Boxvan, and the WKZ Truck version was replaced by the MatarHorn Trucks Media Broadcast Truck, both of which share the same cab design with the Flatbed. Those variants were also joined by the new Dump Truck and Middleweight DC variants, giving MatarHorn Trucks a rather comprehensive lineup of commercial products, joined by the Convoy, the new MRAP, the City Bus, and the Firetruck. Though, looking at the emblem on the front of the cabovers in the original WD, they were also MatarHorn Trucks products, meaning the company must have offered two cab designs to give customers a choice. Maybe when developing the game (remember, during the game's development, Ubisoft Montreal made frequent trips to California, so I'm sure they picked up something on what sorts of vehicles are and aren't popular in the area in real life), they may have found cabover vehicles to be less popular in the Bay Area and decided on a completely conventional styled fleet of trucks in the sequel? Might also explain the introduction of the Landrock Motors Cube Truck. I never understood why the garbage truck was not included in WD2, it seems like a pretty important vehicle for city utility, and it would have been interesting to see a trash truck with the front end of the flatbed
Porsche 911 Turbo Watch Dogs 2 (2016) | Silnev wrote That's not how made for game works. A vehicles need to have influence to either multiple different vehicles so that no one vehicle can be id'd or be something completely fictional with no real world counterpart. I've seen multiple vehicles where they are mixed up of 2 real life variants and are still listed as made for game. The headlights on this car also resemble that of an old Volkswagen.
Porsche 911 Turbo Watch Dogs 2 (2016) | Victor_2003 wrote The spoiler design and the fastback rear style ressemble the 70-80s Porsche 911, the rest of the vehicle are a 60-70s european sports car. It's mostly based off a Porsche 911. The rear fenders + rear design's shape seems to be inspired by a Ferrari Dino 246. Here's a diagram: -- Last edit: 2023-04-20 21:28:31
Porsche 911 Turbo Watch Dogs 2 (2016) | Antti-san wrote Personally, there's not enough 911 in it, even though the name seems to allude to it. I mean, the body looks more like a "generic 60s sports car" to me (it would actually be a nice original design, if it doesn't already exist.). Oh well.
