Firstly I wanted to apologize for what happened 2 days ago. Obviously it shouldn't have happened.

Secondly, anything regarding licensing is a very complex issue that extends beyond licensed cars. I've said it before many times and I'll say it again: Cars are licensed on a by-car basis (simple answer = every car is individually licensed) and does not guarantee repeats, and are not licensed by entire manufacturer, contrary to popular belief.

You can have all the money in the world as a dev or publisher but the fact is there are various reasons why certain cars get cut. Oftentimes its because of licensing issues regarding new cars and sometimes it can result in a certain brand being excluded for legal reasons.

So I have decided to return to this site to contribute again, mainly because of cars like that detailing game I'm workin' on.

Typical fools. Can't say something you want to elaborate and morons come to attack you for the dumbest reasons yet.

Then you should not have brought it up in the first place. Simple as that.

As for FH5, I disagree that it's trash. I do like the game for what it is, but I do feel like they do a disservice for propagating the issues and misleading content.

Agreed, such a shame that you can only get more traffic vehicles with mods.

Okay.... we're not talkin' about mods. Why the comparison?? I was talkin' to him with details about future AI cars.

It's always a pleasant surprise when SCS adds an AI vehicle just for fun, without any other use (in recent years, SCS have added only cars which were like police cars for upcoming DLCs etc., especially in ETS2). And more modern cars are definitely necessary for both games.

See, the usual reason for new AI vehicle additions is because of fan requests. ETS2 is particularly strict because regional cars are different.

As far as ATS goes, it's an 'anything goes' scenario. The vast majority of all vehicles sold in the U.S. are not dictated by regional popularity, and my massive spreadsheet should suffice. Also, would love to see a few exotic cars like the F8 Tributo, for example.

Additionally older cars also have their charms too, and the recent addition of the F-100 opens the door for more retro stuff showing up in updates. Now give us some friggin' 90s hooptie sedans like a Grand Am, Malibu, Saturn etc.

But vehicles like the S-Max? (igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=147725) No way. I requested SCS to remove it in ATS and therefore the Renegade (or some other ETS2 car also sold in the US) should replace it. I even gave valid reasons why.

Most probable answer is licensing issues

That actually is true, and yet despite my MANY attempts to defuse the situation, the users still don't get it. They clearly don't understand how licensing works and I am fed up with this overzealous attitude.

It's because Toyota doesn't want Lexus to participate in illegal street racing, regardless of concept cars.

That statement is so wrong on so many levels. Forza Horizon 5 has street racing yet they feature both brands. It is licensing that dictates what's allowed and what is not allowed.

I'm starting to believe you're KarlTheLG, just under a new name.

Forza Horizon is the most horrendous garbage in a racing game.

He was talking about Forza Motorsport 4, which was released the same year as this. Hell, the original Horizon was in development so what was that comment's purpose? Get your facts right.

Also, the most horrendous garbage was the fact that it was restricted to the limited edition of this game. And the fact that the Supercar pack was relegated to the PS3 version.

Car Detailing Simulator (2022)
You might be familiar to some of those cars from CMS18 or CMS21 since they all came from the same publisher, PlayWay.

The cars are also drivable but the physics are trash.

Publisher is PlayWay for your information. And there's a second developer. Update the info whenever you can.

This is going to be a long-term addition, so each car is going to have to be completely free of dirt/grime for pics. The photomode is particularly clunky but can work at times. There is a showroom but it's tied to your reputation.

Will try to update the Abori 81 when the time's right.

Update 1: Damageable vehicles is 'no'.

Update 2: Accidentally forgot the Century-based classic's surname is Dunbar 100, not Dunbar 110 that I sent.

So it looks like it won't be used as a traffic car in ETS 2. Thank god. I added its Euro equivalent (which I requested SCS to add via my spreadsheet).

Of course, not the first time that SCS reuse something like this, they previously brought the Mercedes-Benz C-Class S204 and the Ford S-Max to American Truck Simulator, even thought both of those vehicles are not sold in the U.S.

Not for long, though. I asked them regarding these vehicles and I, pray tell they get rid of them. I kept relitigating the fact that the Jeep Renegade from ETS2 would replace it. Whatever vehicle replaces that S204 wagon would either be the XC60, XC70 or whatever other wagon that was sold in the States.

I provided detailed, valid reasons why I wanted them gone on their Steam discussions (because they read them too, not just the official forums).

So it looks like we're gettin' our own Euro Motorhome, and not the ATS one we thought was going to have. I'd done my research and it would be one of those Ducato motorhomes which was on my spreadsheet.

The Hymer B-Class won't be alone on this.

Both me and Bruisemobile stated that this was a horse carriage so that was why it was rejected. It has a steering wheel, yes but that is not a vehicle.

Horse-driven carts are NOT allowed, just like gliders/sailboats lacking an engine.

Well, you know what's new? This: www.gameinformer.com/2023/01/10/forza-horizon-5-creative-director-five-other-playground-staff-start-new-studio-to-build

Concerned, no? You might be, as a new developer with the creative director of Playground Games and five other of their staff formed Maverick Games.

They stated that they will develop a premium open-world game, but details are vague. But if they are making a serious contender of Forza Horizon, the whole franchise will come under fire. Maybe it's time for FH to feature some competition now and then.

Considering the utterly horrific state FH5 fell into lately, maybe it would be time for a change in development starting in a few months from now. It's time for the kid-friendly nature of FH5 to end. No more butchered songs. No more cringey characters. No more dubious partnerships.

What's your opinion on this new developing story?

Tesla Model Y

Euro Truck Simulator 2 (2012)
Are you sure about it? I mean, yeah, I've made some criticism regarding the lack of EVs in ETS2, but the Model Y was not on my spreadsheet last time I checked. I've noted some Teslas on the AI vehicle spreadsheet.

I've noted a lot of EVs making a stand in Europe and Tesla in spite of their shambling stock still have some popularity on either side of the continents.

I've recently been noticing that NFS games nowadays have been slowly declining in some automakers. No Lexus, no Toyota, no Maserati, no Audi, etc. This is affecting other driving games that are somewhat associated with street racing.

Clearly you're oblivious about a thing called "Licensing Agreements". If a developer can't put a licensed product or model they cannot put it in the game. Simple as that.

I am sick and tired of this constant preaching about why brands are missing in whatever iteration of NFS games. The #1 reason why certain brands are missing is licensing, period. Full stop.

Some brands don't want exposure in racing games, look at Rolls-Royce for example. Others are often for unknown reasons.

No more, please.

LOL this is hilarious. Do you not know anything about licensing at all? Seriously, just because a car was present in a past NFS game does not mean it will carry over to the next NFS game. Ever heard of that? Licensing can cause some issues too due to various reasons.

I'm tired of preaching this statement because it's really annoying.

Yep. Zastas were the car of the Western Balkans so it made tangible sense for the car to appear there. Don't expect it to be found anywhere else outside of Balkan territory though.

If we don't get a Yugo we will riot.
Tesla Model Y

Euro Truck Simulator 2 (2012)
Yes. Page is for the white vehicle that looks nothing like the other vehicles currently listed on the entry.

From what it looks like it certainly has that Tesla flair. Can't be a Model S because it looks far more detailed than the low-poly Model S (and the Superb and Mustang on the right side of the Staatstheater Stuttgart are totally ingame models and not lowpolys) and I believe the lights are shorter, giving a Model 3 lookalike.

So maybe it could be a Model 3, which is something I requested to be added to ETS2 and ATS since EVs started dominating the world, and the Tesla (I think) is a hot sell in Europe. Not every car is tied to the West Balkans expansion, mind you.

EDIT: Sorry for premature posting, misclick on my end.

EDIT2: You know, I did send SCS a spreadsheet on new cars barring those of regional DLCs, and it makes sense. ETS2 has evolved so much that traffic here seems like it has barely updated. I made this expansive spreadsheet based on four weeks' worth of Google Street View hunting across some highways of Europe.

My criticism with this is because ETS2 has no EVs at the moment. Reality is staring to catch up to them, so I gave them a wishlist and they're considering following through each one.

This whole research tip was not bogus since I've seen all the car journalists talking about new cars, first drives and new EVs they're experimenting.

I wonder what RushCars has to say since this seemingly-new model is completely different.

Main image replacement: imgur.com/a/JeiWt7E

And Silnev, I regret doing this a lot of times. But the fact of the matter is Imgur made some horrible decisions in the past year since they were bought out by Picsart. I tried to find any way to crop them but there is no option to do so on imgur nor on Picsart. They made this catastrophic decision, and it's all their fault. I swear I could crop images there, years ago.

At this point I'd rather defund Imgur and make Picsart bankrupt. How such a poor decision even made it through Imgur cert testing is beyond me.

Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
Horribly rushed, too. Interior details are lacking and well, not worth the Secret Santa prize.

There was even a thread about it but unfortunately it will not get fixed.

As a man who craves detail it is such a pain that the third-most requested car is riddled with misfires.

And they should've added the coupe. Who in the hell requested its even more limited Roadster??

IGCD Future releases and to-do list (2023)
Well you can definitely try again in this case.

As for another subject matter, is there some archaic format for good entry images, regarding photomode? I'm not talking about games that don't have a dedicated photo mode (like old games for example).

For example, ATS. Currently the new vehicles added as of update 1.46 features a F-100, a mutant Silverado single cab truck, a charter bus and a oddly-designed upfit truck among them. I can't get either of the former two pickups to get new entries as the current ones have a lot of dead air (something that is a detriment of quality). I'm not throwing animosity, for that matter.

Does quality actually matter, or, for some reason, why photos with dead space really get superiority over reasonably cropped pics with decent angles? I mean, I run ATS and ETS2 with maximum quality settings and, as of 1.46 SCS made UI improvements with photo mode. And finally, an opinion: Lots of photomodes seem to offer some kind of option to display blur effects or to disable them. Is that mandatory or no?
