Dodge Viper GTS-R

Gran Turismo (2009)
Starting from this installment of the series, both the #91 & #51 depictions of this race car can be obtainable.
Honda Logo

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
This car’s the only one in the game w/ Continuously Variable Transmission or CVT. This means this car’s driven w/o the need to shift gears; thus, you won’t be able to choose between automatic or manual transmission before races w/ this car.

Also, the Logo will rev by itself, even when the accelerate button’s not held. This can be fixed by purchasing gearbox tuning parts, however you still won’t have transmission choice.
Ford F-150

Asphalt 8: Airborne (2013)
It's a '15 Ford F-150 Lariat.
Citroën Saxo

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
Once Racing Modifications are applied (for 80K Cr.), it transforms into the Saxo Rally Car, w/ the Rally being available for use in Arcade Mode from the onset.
Volkswagen Golf

Gran Turismo 4 (2004)
Strange but true: this car appears in the background photo for the MG Festival, a one-make event for the ‘97 MGF & the ‘03 TF160 (said event, which requires a National A license, consists of 2 laps around Hong Kong in reverse, a single lap around Suzuka, 2 laps around Opera Paris, 4 laps around Motorland, & 2 laps around Grand Valley East in reverse; at stake’s a special yellow colored MGF).
Toyota Celica GT4

Gran Turismo 5 (2010)
In this game, the ST205 Celica Rally Car has a detailed interior, a trait no other rally carried over from GT4 has.
Aston Martin DB7

Gran Turismo (1997)
There's also a yellow color scheme for this car, but it's only available on this game. Same goes for the Volante (convertible).

Mitsubishi 3000 GT

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
Not to be confused w/ the 3000GT LM Edition that appears in the 1st 2 GT games.
BMW 740i

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
Surprising that Polyphony added the BMW 7-series to GT; shame it would not be featured in future installments.

This needs to return for GT7!
Peugeot 206 WRC

Gran Turismo (2009)
Did you know, if you dig into this car's texture files on this game, you would find the ESSO logos used on it in the NTSC-J & PAL versions of GTs 2-4 (incl. GT Concept). Remember, they stopped doing regional differences starting from GT PSP, so they stopped sponsoring ESSO on the cars (& the 206 Rally) & stuck w/ Exxon so that they would not be sued.
Honda S2000 GT1

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
Amuse would revive the S2K GT1 name 2 games later.
Toyota Supra

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
On this game, the '97 Supra RZ is pictured in yellow (as shown above) alongside its 6 other colors you can choose from (Super White II, Silver Metallic, Grayish Green Mica Metallic, Black, Super Red IV, & Blue Mica). This would also be carried over to GT3 (w/ a green colored Supra you can win as a prize car). However, the Super Bright Yellow Supra would only last for said 2 GT's, as GT4 onwards would have the car's color count reverted to the 6 aforementioned colors. The same fact would be said for the '97 Supra SZ-R.
Daihatsu Sirion

Gran Turismo 4 (2004)
The '00 Storia/Sirion's available in white by default, but an Emerald Green Metallic version of this car can be won by completing the Copen Race (2 laps around Tsukuba, 3 laps around Motorland, & 3 laps around Autumn Ring Mini). This event requires a Daihatsu Copen model (hence the name Copen Race) & an A License.
Panoz Esperante GTR-1

Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec (2001)
W/ a price tag of 2M cr., the Esperante's GT3's most expensive car.

You actually unlock the Esperante Race Car once you complete all Time Trials in arcade mode.
Honda NSX JGTC

Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec (2001)
The Castrol Mugen NSX is the only NSX race car that can be purchased from the Honda dealer (1,250,000 cr.). The other 2 (Arta & RAYBRIG) are prize cars (The Arta can be won by completing the All Japan Championship or the Special Stage Route 11 endurance, while the RAYBRIG can be won via the Amateur GT All-Stars event).
Toyota Altezza

Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec (2001)
The ALTEZZA LM Racer can't be won just by completing the Laguna Seca endurance. There are 2 other events in GT3 where the GT-made ALTEZZA can be won: The Amateur Altezza Race & the Professional Vitz Race.
TVR Cerbera Speed 12

Gran Turismo 4 (2004)
A special orange chameleon colored Cerbera Speed 12 can be won by completing the Blackpool Racers event, located at the TVR dealership. The event itself consists of 5 laps around Suzuka Circuit East, 3 laps around Special Stage Route 5, 3 laps around Laguna Seca, 4 laps around Opera Paris, & 5 laps around the '05 variant of the Fuji Speedway. Oh, & you'll need to have collected the A licence as well.
Subaru 360

Gran Turismo 4 (2004)
This car comes in 2 colors by default: Sand Beige & Fresh Blue. A WR Blue Mica version of the 360 can be won by completing the Subaru 360 Race, a 3 lap race located in Tsukuba Circuit.
Ford Mondeo

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
If you perform Racing Modifications on a stock Mondeo, it would look like the one driven by the late Will Hoy (the #32 car; w/ it, he would achieve 10th place overall in the '98 BTCC season).
Chevrolet Camaro

Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec (2001)
This car must be the successor of the orig. Camaro LM, a racing mod for the Chevy Camaro Z28 Coupe that appeared on GT1.

Chrysler Viper GTS-R

Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec (2001)
The car's number differs by region on GT3. The PAL & NTSC-J versions contain the #51 Viper GTS-R (as a Chrysler), & the NTSC-U version has the #91 Viper GTS-R. This difference would come into play on GT4.

What you say doesn't make sense. This is a fictional racing car like other fictional racing cars in Gran Turismo 4, this one for example:

What Mitsubishi did or didn't regarding rally or track racing doesn't matter, and what you say is untrue especially if you are referring to the FTO, in fact it raced in JGTC and a real JGTC FTO is in Gran Turismo 2.

That "JGTC FTO" you're referring to that appeared on GT2 was the '99 Taeivon Trampio, a car that was driven in real life by Akihiko Nakaya (the car's number was #61; he, along w/ Ralph Firman, achieved 6th place in the GT300 ranking of the '99 JGTC season). Another FTO race car appeared on 2 under the LM Edition moniker.
Ford RS200

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
This game featured the regular Ford RS200, but it was referred to as the Ford RS200 Rally Car. However, on its next appearance on GT4, the Ford RS200 Rally Car name was given to its rally car variant, & the stock version was simply the RS200.

Mitsubishi FTO

Gran Turismo 4 (2004)
For some weird reason, one of this car's sponsors is Omega Boost, another PD-developed game for the orig. PlayStation.

Renault Mégane Coupé

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
If racing modifications are performed on a stock Renault Megane on GT2, it will be turned into the Renault Megane Rally Car. The Megane Rally itself was available for use in the game's Arcade mode.

Honda S2000

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
One of this S2K's racing liveries (this car has 2 racing liveries) would resemble the Spoon S2K Race Car (which would debut on GT3).

LM RAcecar

Yes Twister, PD did name it the SUBARU IMPREZA LM Race Car. But starting w/ GT4 (& continuing to this day), it was classified as a Super Touring Car. Also, on 3, one of the colors for the Impreza LM was orange, but on 4 (& beyond), it was replaced w/ silver.
Honda NSX JGTC

Gran Turismo 4 (2004)
There are 7 NSX race cars on GT4 (ARTA, Mobil 1, Castrol Mugen, Raybrig, Loctite Mugen, NSX-R LM Race Car, & this one).

When gamers fire up GT4's Arcade Mode for the 1st time, they'll start w/ the TAKATA Dome NSX, & must unlock the other 6 NSX race cars for use in Arcade Mode through GT Mode.

A special hidden car only available through Gameshark or Action Replay on the PAL version. Legend has it that Esso got pissed off with Polyphony not paying them to use a car with their sponsor on it, and cancelled future sponsoring on any new video game, which is why there is now "Exxon" instead of Esso.

I think you're right. Had PD added this car to the NTSC-U version of GT4, it would be named the Exxon Superflo Supra (remember, ESSO was referred to as Exxon in America).

Peugeot 206 WRC

Gran Turismo 2 (1999)
Only NTSC-J/PAL GT2 gamers would see ESSO sponsorship on the Peugeot 206 Rally, while owners of the NTSC-U version get Exxon sponsorship.
Lancia Delta

Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec (2001)
POLYPHONY DIGITAL planned to add the road version of the LANCIA Delta HF Intergrale to GT3, but it never came to fruition. The street legal Delta HF Intergrale would reappear on GT4 (& its rally car variant).
