stryder237 wrote When we have this, a DLC car from forza 4, I think we put aside any worries of a bad car list. Good marketing ploy in my opinion; advertise all the DLC cars first that not many people may have had to hopefully generate sales. I like it.
ShantJ wrote A concept car on city streets? o_O Lambo recently announced production of just 20, although none are street legal, so I wonder how this will actually play out.
I'm suspecting EA's terms mean that like with Forza 3, they can't really advertise Porsches. Still, I expect both to be in the game, which is cool with me.
The rear looks alot like the new SRT Viper...
The engine noise pretty much confirms its a facsimile of a 911.
davidbillmanoy wrote It looks like a Subaru Impreza 22B STi. I always thought it looked like a Lexus IS/Toyota Altezza from the front and the general shape of it, with a Subaru hood scoop and Evo VI taillights and wing.
MartinBond wrote http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7220/7156180093_2109b2ed0b_b.jpg It's E-class 257, so there's still hope for my 507 That Viper in the pic is in S class. I'm assuming S will be the highest car class. Or maybe they'll bring U class back from Forza 1 and 2 for the hypercars
Ritsu Tainaka wrote I hope this car is not unicorn... Maybe they implement unicorns as prize cars for special races in single player.
It's kinda stupid that the cars you expect to be in the game anyway are made pre-order only.
Convertible? Maybe we'll get to pick between coupes and convertibles for various cars.
They call that colour Jetliner Silver in the game. And this isn't even turbocharged!
They list this as a V6 but if you look at the spec sheet it says its an inline-4.
ItsaUserName wrote Hit the nail right on the head. Exactly that happened. The 996 GT3 was actually Kazunori Yamauchi's personal car at the time, he probably still owns it. Probably why it's the only complete Porsche in the game.
Antti-san wrote I have to say, I had no idea that this was offered in RWD configuration as well - but I'm very glad they did, makes it more "reactive to control". Let's be honest, any RUF is rare, so I'm guessing the only CTR2 Turn 10 could find was a RWD, U.S. spec version. It would explain the ugly reflector bar too.
BeanBandit wrote If only that Arai could be replaced with something like open face Davida helmet. davida.co.uk/category.php?id=helmets I still think period clothing should of been used for certain vehicles (like the Shelby Cobra), like on GT4.
Looks more like it's suited to Time Attack/Autocross races, rather than high-speed, off-road stunts.
jus1029 wrote It looks more like a rally car. Agreed, the bodykit and the wing especially remind me of this: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=38297
UltraRazza wrote Sweet little car. Innit? Maybe a modified Cooper S Probably the same as www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=38845
sajmon14 wrote US Escort with Cosworth parts then.
carcrasher88 wrote Other than the fact that the Typhoon is an SUV, they're essentially the same vehicle. Same with that 2012 Virage. It's just a slightly faster DB9. Please don't tell me Forza's turning into Gran Turismo, with multiple variants of the same vehicle... That depends on how you look at it. It's annoying in Gran Turismo because you have 14 variations of the Skyline GT-R, 3 of which are just the standard car in 3 slightly different shades of purple. At least with the Virage and this, there are enough differences in how they drive, where as in GT, there isn't a big enough sense of speed to really notice a difference in the weight or whatever.
antp wrote "MX-5 Miata" in US, but it is maybe not an US version here... (as there is a Peugeot in the game) It has the mandatory U.S. repeated side markers though, so it probably is a Miata.
Ritsu Tainaka wrote Loved it... why in the most games completely ignoring this car? Because its a horrible car in real life. Its just an Elise with even less space on the inside and a posh body, made to appeal to 60 year old golf players.
First gen, could be anywhere between 2003 to 2005 at the time of the game's release.
This is the description for the car from the NFS World website: "Designed for the track, the 1973 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R is a true legend and the rarest Skyline model that exists. With this retro racer, you already set yourself apart as there is no other car like it in Need for Speed World! Only 197 were originally built, back in the day, so make sure to get your hands on this rare Tier 1 Rocket." Somebody at EA obviously messed up. Like ShantJ said, 1973 was when the Ken and Mary GT-R was made, and that was actually the rarest version with, as the description says, 190+ being made. So the facts are true, except its completely the wrong generation. The latest this could be is a 1971.
Definately a US spec; indicator lights on the grille and the wheels were no where to be seen on the European versions.
Looking at the other Skylines listed, it seems the developers took the Gran Turismo route and exploited every version of the R34 to add to the game's car roster.
This has GTi badging on the door panels.
There's an SRi badge on the side BTW. I don't know if that should be listed to the trim level. This was my starting car, for one simple - yet utterly stupid in hindsight - reason - it was RHD.
The badge on the back says GS-T
It's definitely an M12, but with some Lamborghini styling cues. I like how the developer's gave it 3-spoke wheels, which is actually one of the distinguishing features of a real M12.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0IAPCxKWQs&feature=related This little cutscene before the last mission confirms its a Cadillac.
Officer Sandwiches wrote Personally I liked the Crown Vic Five-O, this looks a little too sports car-ey to me. Hey, who knows. Maybe the Five-O is still in the game, and this car only shows up at higher heat levels. -- Last edit: 2011-06-04 12:32:03
Best sounding car in any GT game. Bar none.
I remember this sounding like a throaty V8 when fully modified.
Rally car. In GT3, it was classed as the prototype and had no major sponsors on it, along with the bugeye Impreza. Since GT Concept was released after the rally season had started, they were able to put the sponsorship decals on them, but they drove identically.
Turns red when you crash or get hit. Blue if you're losing (I think) and yellow for various other moods (Winning the race and going at high speed are two I can think of.) -- Last edit: 2011-05-30 17:22:49
R-Tune, based on V-Spec GT-R, fitted with new turbochargers, wastegate, dump and blow off valve, intercooler, exhaust system, uprated brakes, new suspension and Nismo designed bodykit.
Unlocked after finding 10 wrecks in Ibiza area 2. The horn makes an "awooga" noise, which varies in pitch each time it's used. Interestingly, the rev counter (both on the HUD and in cockpit mode) goes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 5, 6, 7.
This car can be unlocked by reaching the highest club level (3 stars). Once that is achieved, you can upgrade the club to have 4 spaces as opposed to two. Along with the Wiesmann MF3, the Lotus 2-Eleven and the Gumpert Apollo, this is a club-exclusive car which can be loaned out for an unlimited amount of time, but not kept in your own garage. |
