Unarmed versions of these also drive around Washington D.C. as civilian cars:
Also used by the enemy: | ||
These trucks can be blown up to reveal ammo crates.
On the last level the Madman tries to escape Washington D.C. in a tanker like this one, your job is to blow him up:
You have to stop these things from destroying the Washington Monument and the Library of Congress. They only appear on the first level (Washington D.C.) -- Last edit: 2009-12-11 17:47:45

Because it doesn't look like anything in particular, not even a Plymouth Valiant
This is actually referred to in one of the mission info screens as an M2 Bradley. In 1992 it's manufacturer would have been FMC (United Defense was formed in 1994). At landing zones like this, the passengers that you've picked up get inside this and your armour is replenished. -- Last edit: 2009-11-21 03:08:03

From the game manual: This is basically a howitzer. There are self-propelled howitzers (ones that are mounted to tracked or wheel vehicles) but this doesn't really look like one, it looks more like something that would have to be towed or transported by some other means, yet in the game it moves around independantly like all the other vehicles. There also doesn't look like there would be anywhere for a driver to sit.
Yes, that's it! I thought I recognized this.
From a cutscene: Kane: I call it "Ezekiel's Wheel". Essentially it's a stealth tank. When not firing it's missiles or being detected by enemy guard towers, this tank automatically cloaks itself, rendering invisible to the enemy (GDI). From the game manual: -- Last edit: 2009-10-30 13:50:48
From cutscenes: From the game manual: A dune buggy armed with a machine gun. The US military actually uses something similar to this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_Patrol_Vehicle -- Last edit: 2009-10-30 13:53:15

In the game, if you hold the cursor over it the label actually says "Mobile Construction Yard". The sole purpose of this vehicle is to deploy into a Construction Yard, allowing you to build structures. NOD version: From a cutscene: From the game manual: -- Last edit: 2009-10-30 13:47:24

Probably most resembles an M1 Abrams. This unit was carried over from the original Command & Conquer game which was set in the present day (1990s). The game manual says it has a 105mm cannon, which the M1 had (the M1A1 and subsequent versions had a 120mm cannon). -- Last edit: 2009-10-14 19:45:57
OK, but notice that the grille has vertical lines rather than horizontal ones.
Only available in the Aftermath expansion pack, not the basic Red Alert game.

Don't think an twin-barrelled tank like this has ever existed before.
Doesn't really look like either. I'm sorry to whine but I feel at times on this site it's more like a guessing game with any old guess being picked rather than proper identifying. I know a lot of cars in computers game don't look completely like one particular car, the aim should be to decide what it most looks like.
It doesn't look like an E30 3-Series, it's too big. To me it looks most like an E28 5-Series or E32 7-Series. The E28 didn't have front indictors next to the headlights so it's probably more like an E32. -- Last edit: 2009-10-15 14:58:59
I think this looks a lot like an M-35.
Oddly, this cutscene plays after one of the Soviet missions, yet the Soviet tanks are all double-barrelled.

This only appears during the intro cutscene, it doesn't appear during any of the cutscenes between missions. It could be meant to be the Demo Truck from one of the add-on packs.
