Trust me, I've been living in NYC for atleast a while now and I've seen quite a few of them. I agree that it DOES have the Stagea taillights and side profile, but really. Despite the in game manufacturer parodying Volkswagen, since evidently according to some people on this site, doesn't prove anything, it's a Passat.

Nissan Stagea Grand Theft Auto IV (2008)	NismoR35 2013-02-16 17:04	Honestly, besides the in game manufacturer parodying Volkswagen, and to try and end this, it's a Volkswagen Passat, with Stagea styling cues, I mean, Seriously, look at all the other cars in the game, not "every", and when I mean "every" I mean MOST cars in the game are solely based off of one car, like the Chavos, Rebula, Stratum, Sultan, and etc. Because really, R* wanted to aim for realism for this game, and since the Passat's the most likely car to realistically be seen in something like NYC.

After I looked at the Charger, the only things that similar is the headlight and rearlight

In common sense (and on wikipedia) this is a language that is considered by some to be strongly impolite or offensive. Vulgar comes from the old latin word vulgaris which has a completely different meaning: "generic, ordinary or humble" (which could mean a connection to Volkswagen as Volkswagen is generic and ordinary in common sense). But as Rockstar always make jokes on the best friend of men and stuff like that i would say they didnt had the latin meaning in Mind.
