I agree that it looks pretty similar to a 1970s Lincoln Continental for the most part. However, those are some rather large bumpers for 1971. This style of bumper, with black rubber strips no less, makes this hearse look like a post-1973 automobile. Yes, these bumpers were introduced in 1973, but it wasn't until 1974 that it was required to have both front and rear bumpers of this kind. Click the link below for details.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumper_(car)#United_States

The grille shows that it can't be any newer than 1976, as the '77 through '79 models had upright Rolls-Royce inspired grilles which were used on the Mark series Continentals. I'd say it's a 1974 - 1976.

I do not agree. Wheelarches size are the same as the Camaro ones, since the Daytona ones are smaller. Also, if you notice, the wheelarches "lips" are more similar in terms of size to the Camaro ones than the Daytona ones (Daytona ones are less pronounced). Mirrors are mounted on doors for both Camaro and Buffalo, while the Daytona ones are mounted aside the window. Daytona has a scoop on the front bumper between the headlights which the Buffalo and the Camaro don't have. The Daytona front bumper lip is way smaller than the Buffalo and Camaro ones, also the front bumper lip cut (where the lip is mounted/starts) is exactly placed in the same point for both Buffalo and Camaro. The front bumper overall design is same as the Camaro. Buffalo side window design is the same as the Camaro. The Camaro just doesn't have the rear side triangle window because of the bigger trunk window. The side door design is same as the Camaro. The trunk wing, same as Camaro.

Remember that you can't have an exactly replica of a real car in a GTA game (or any other game with fake cars), so the developers must use their fantasy to add random details here and there to confuse who sees the car, maybe also borrowing those details from a whole different vehicle (GTA4/5 Infernus = half Lambo, half Zonda.)
Luckily, the GTA SA Buffalo is way more clear to identify.

Small OT: I agree with you about the Super GT "bump", because it is indeed an SW20 rather than an AW11.

You have a point, the RWD and the V8 are convincing enough. I still think that the car is a mixture between the Camaro and Daytona with Manta 400 headlights but this will do.

Hey, I've seen this car up close in The Sims 2. (#ModsForLife! :king:) and I would NOT call it a Daytona. Im sorry but I see no resemblance. Maybe the rear tailights, but the rest is Camaro. Plus, haven't we learned NOT to trust a car by its so called "Manufactre" or "Likeness"? (Ahem, Stratum and Infernus. Cough) So I think Camaro. So...

Lore or not it still borrows the majority of its visual features from a Dodge Daytona. I'm basing this on the rear since the front is based off multiple cars that are anachronistic to the game.

Looking back it's not really an MC8, but more of a W20.

It's the homoglation model for a widebody MR2 Toyota entered in Le Mans, only one was produced and most thought it was crushed twenty years ago until it showed up in a private collection earlier this year. One of the few feel-good automotive stories this year.
