Even if the 1-year exclusive license expires, various problems still exist that prevent licensing a certain car, like this one. FH5 for example has neglected Maserati for so long. They did not bother to update the GranTurismo nor consider adding any new road-worthy models. They don't seem interested to license the MC20 or the Grecale. Fact is the only Maserati added since FH5's launch is just another returning car. If that's the case then why do these mobile game developers get the newest stuff first, and the AAA games are the last ones to do so? By the time this car gets added to Forza, this car will become obsolete. See where I'm goin' with this?

That way it could be added in hopefully a year from now, provided that licensing doesn't go the wrong way. Unfortunately mobile games have some sort of NDA so getting one out of the mobile-space is a tough job.
