2023-02-01 23:46 | @Vocal95 yeah they did that. I don't know what was going on, but it seems like, apart from the '68 F-100, every other vehicle they added seems to be a 'look how they massacred my boy' schtick going on. The Silverado singlecab, the Acterra lookalike, and (to a lesser extent) this third-gen Tundra. It's not clear to me why they've done that, and no one knows what car gets added to ATS or ETS2 for that matter. My spreadsheets for both of these games, which is over a mile long, covers a Looney Tunes gags' worth of new and old cars, and I've considered them a part of America. The S-Max (which I constantly requested SCS to remove in ATS) is just one of those cars that were forced by default. As for gas stations... who knows. I personally like the new gas stations. Maybe it's SCS' way of avoiding copyright infringement but I favor the gas station design the concept art team made. Makes the game feel more... modern. See what I mean? I never really liked the old design and I (and many others) applaud the new designs. I would really appreciate it if this truck in particular didn't have those ugly steelies. They look extremely garish and ruin the look. -- Last edit: 2023-02-01 23:47:50

2023-02-01 01:32 | So, this one definitely flew under the radar. Western Star now has three trucks on the ATS world, and the 57X's predecessor is now on your nearest WS dealer a few hours ago at the time of this writing. I love this. Closest we'll ever get to a previous-gen Cascadia and has all the luxury premiums to complement the driver with. Fun story: SCS saw one of these around 2016 (a year after this truck was introduced in real-life) in Mid-America Trucking Show in the U.S. that year, and they realized that they really needed one of them. Western Star, on behalf of Daimler Trucks North America, is grateful for this addition, even if it meant having to scour archives for their variants. I'm hoping the older Cascadia comes through, though SCS has more on the way (if you've followed through their blogposts from late summer 2022). Prime examples include the updated Peterbilt 579 and 389X, Kenworth's updated T-680 and the updated Volvo VNL trucks. All of which I'll get images for when they release. Best time to start the year of 2023 in ATS, and it wasn't even February. They're working on at least two states, and probably even a third state. -- Last edit: 2023-02-19 01:36:06

2023-01-28 17:00 | I agree on that sentiment that it is the Silverado single-cab as they've been around, and I have seen them plenty, especially service models, but what would specifically make it a '23 model? Grille? Side note: these pics still have not been replaced - lots of dead space. I'm gonna have to resend cropped pics later. -- Last edit: 2023-01-28 17:57:48

vocal95 photo_librarymode_comment 2023-01-27 10:16 | Vxctec wrote Seems to me that SCS Software are now adding vehicles into their games that almost resemble the real thing, but differ in design. Which is a shame since so far all AI cars were realistic. They also debadged all the existing AI vehicles and removed gas stations that clearly referenced real life companies like "Chemron" or "GP" (well, GP was replaced with NAF stations that still look like BP with their color scheme, but Chemron was replaced with "Aron" and is way more generic)

And more modern cars are definitely necessary for both games. See, the usual reason for new AI vehicle additions is because of fan requests. ETS2 is particularly strict because regional cars are different. As far as ATS goes, it's an 'anything goes' scenario. The vast majority of all vehicles sold in the U.S. are not dictated by regional popularity, and my massive spreadsheet should suffice. Also, would love to see a few exotic cars like the F8 Tributo, for example. Additionally older cars also have their charms too, and the recent addition of the F-100 opens the door for more retro stuff showing up in updates. Now give us some friggin' 90s hooptie sedans like a Grand Am, Malibu, Saturn etc. But vehicles like the S-Max? (igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=147725) No way. I requested SCS to remove it in ATS and therefore the Renegade (or some other ETS2 car also sold in the US) should replace it. I even gave valid reasons why.

Vxctec photo_librarymode_comment 2023-01-09 01:42 | rozanoff wrote Model S is liftback, not sedan.
