Definetly, if it is an American game set in America. We got the Monaro rebadged as a Pontiac GTO. It was Holden Monaro in Australia, and also somewhere it is the Chevrolet Lumina.

It's called the Lumina in the Middle East and Africa.

Battlefield 2142 (2006)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)Yes, we have more flexible rules regarding this on IGCD, for the simple fact that there are many popular games that do feature fictional cars like this. Obviously though, licensed and more obviously based fictional cars are a priority, but there is still room for completely fictional cars. 2006-10-25 23:10

IGCD isn't IMCDB. IGCD list all the cars fictionnal or not! 2006-10-25 21:51
Battlefield 2142 (2006)G-MANN UK (51)Sometimes on IMCDB people would post cartoons featuring vehicles that had little resemblence to anything in real life (Stronghold doing Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles is the most recent one that springs to mind) and there would be some debate about whether there much point in listing stuff like that (in the end Stronghold took down most of the entries. Then again there are some people in the IMCDB community that are against listing any cartoon at all because they feature drawings of cars rather than actual cars. True, with the GTA series all the cars are fictional and unlicensed but a lot of them are based on real cars and given names that are puns on the real names (this way they also avoid paying fees to car companies). Personally I'm not going to bother listing futuristic vehicles from games like Tiberian Sun or GTA2.

Battlefield 2142 (2006)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)Well yes, but they are still vehicles after all, regardless of whether they are licensed or not. As stated, fictional cars are still listed, so whether they are identifiable or not is another matter. 2006-10-25 21:02

Battlefield 2142 (2006)G-MANN UK (51)Since everything here is Made for Game, is there that much point in listing them since they don't resemble real vehicles? I thought the point of this site was to show real cars (or something that resembles a real car) that appear in computer games.

Battlefield 2142 (2006)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)This is the futuristic sequel to Battlefield 2, with the usual array of epic online battles, and of course full of bugs and patches. The vehicles on offer however, in comparison to the last instalment, do not feature real life equivilance, and instead are far more futuristic due to the setting. 2006-10-25 18:11

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004)G-MANN UK (51)Other drivable vehicles:

Trains:

Freight (a freight train with flat trailers)

Dinghy (a powered, rigid-hulled inflatable boat, appeared in Vice City)
Launch (a military patrol boat)

Police Maverick (police version of the maverick that goes after you when you get a 3-Star Wanted Level, appeared in Vice City)

Hunter (an attack helicopter based on the Apache, appeared in Vice City)
Leviathan (a large cargo helicopter that is used to lift vehicles in some missions, resembles a Sea King)
Raindance (a large helicopter belonging to the San Andreas Fire Department, despite what it's name suggest it cannot drop water)
Cargobob (a military transport helicopter)

Planes:
Dodo (finally the Dodo from GTA3 comes without clipped wings and you can fly it properly, resembles a Cessna 150)
Skimmer (Seaplane version of the Dodo, appeared in Vice City)
Rustler (a WWII fighter plane that resembles the P-51 Mustang)
Stuntplane (a highly manouverable biplane)
Cropduster (a biplane used for dusting crops)
Nevada (a 1940s propeller engined passenger plane)
Beagle (a high-wing light utility plane with space for cargo or a few passengers)
Shamal (a Lear Jet type plane)
AT-400 (a jet airliner, resembles a Boeing 737)
Hydra (a fighter jet with Vertical Takeoff and Landing ability like the Harrier jump jet, although the styling is a mix of the Harrier and the F-16)
Andromada (a big military cargo plane that resembles a C-141 Starlifter, it is hard to tell exactly how big it is, it might not even be as big as an AT-400. It is not possible to fly it yourself unless you use some kind of game modification tool like Gameshark I don't know if you can do this on the PC. It appears in the Mike Toreno mission "Stowaway" where you must ride a bike onto the loading ramp as it is taking off on the Verdant Meadows airstrip then you plant a bomb inside it while it is high in the air, escaping by parachute)

There is also a jetpack (like the one in the Bond movie Thunderball) that spawns beside the garage on the Verdant Meadows airstrip, once you complete the mission "Green Goo" which involves stealing it from the secret underground complex at the Area 69 military base.

There is also a number of miscellaneous land vehicles in the game which I've been unsure whether to add (partly because it would be difficult to attach a particular brand name to some of them) Here they are:

Caddy (a golf cart)
Combine Harvester
Dozer (a bulldozer)
Forklift
Kart (a go-cart)
Mower (a rideable lawnmower)
Sweeper (a street cleaning vehicle)
Baggage (a airport vehicle that tows baggage trolleys)
Tug (an airport towing tug, not one of big ones that tow airliners, but about the same size as the Baggage)
Tractor
Bandito (a dune buggy)
Quad (a quadbike)

There are also 3 types of bicycles:
Bike (one of those high-handlebarred bikes with a seat that has a backrest that South Central types like to ride around on)
BMX
Mountain Bike

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)G-MANN UK (51)Other playable, non-land vehicles:

Boats:
Reefer (a fishing boat, carried over from GTA3)
Speeder (a speedboat, carried over from GTA3)
Predator (a armed police boat, carried over from GTA3)
Cuban Jetmax (an even faster speedboat)
Squalo (the fastest boat in the game)
Marquis (a yacht)
Tropic (a motor cruiser)
Rio (a catermaran)
Dinghy (a powered, rigid-hulled inflatable boat)
Coastguard (a small motorboat)

Helicopters:
Maverick (a commercial helicopter with seating for passengers)
Police Maverick (a police version that can shoot at you and have SWAT Team men come down from ropes)
VCN Maverick (a smaller Maverick used by Newscrews)
Sparrow (a small helicopter with a bubble cockpit)
Sea Sparrow (a sparrow with floats that can land on water)
Hunter (an attack helicopter that resembles the AH-64 Apache)

Planes:
Skimmer (a seaplane based on the Dodo)

There are also 3 types of Radio Controlled models you can use when you enter the Top Fun van, the RC Bandit (car), RC Baron (biplane) and RC Raider (helicopter).

So in total this game has 100 vehicles that your character can drive (excluding the remote control vehicles). The only land vehicle I've left out of the main page is the "Baggage", an airport baggage trolley towing vehicle.
