Generally it resembles VW Passat B2 Sedan especially the version after facelifting called VW Santana in EU.

We can say that from bumpers style this is an early 80s car.
A 4-door sedan would be more like European rather than Japanese: in Japan the Nissan Bluebird had a longer tail than this model, so I'd say Volvo 345 from early 80s.
