| victorvance wrote I´m sorry. It is like Desscythe17 wrote! Yeah, that's the kind of problem you can run into with unplayable cars... I came from Nova, via Commodore and Taunus to Peugeot 403, and I still think - considering body contour and rear lights - that it's meant to be that one. Does anyone have a suggestion...? There aren't many cars with this kind of rearlight units. | |
| ChoclitBunny wrote @victorvance : Could you post a picture of the side and/or front of this car... I'm really curious to find out what car this could be... looking at the body contour and taillights I still thinnk it could be a Peugeot 403, I´m sorry. It is like Desscythe17 wrote! | |

It's just a static background and this is the only angle at which you get to see the car.

| I think the car looks a bit more modern than the 403, but the taillights on the 404 don't match. | |
| victorvance wrote Maybe, or the successor the 404. The 404 has a different rear end: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1c/Peugeot_404_rear_20070910.jpg | |

| Desscythe17 wrote I think it's a German car. Why would there be an American taxi in a German game? Maybe it helps to mention that I found this cab in Rome. BTW I think it could be a Peugeot. | |
| ChoclitBunny wrote The rear styling and rearlight units of the Trabant are totally different from this game car. The Opel Commodore I mentioned earlier is close, but now I think I have found the one: 1970 Ford Taunus: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b6/Ford_Taunus_1.3_TC_ca_1974_Schaffen-Diest_2013.jpg Moreover, it makes no sense in a 3-car game to have a Trabant alongside a Volkswagen Golf and BMW 3... I'm sorry but I still think it's closer to the Trabant than those two big cars you mentioned. Also, I don't see why it doesn't make sense it's in this game? The Trabant was a very popular German car, and I think it has been produced over a very long time. So there's a possibility that it is this car. I mean, the roofline and taillights are very similar. | |

Why not? This game was released in 1993, and Trabants were very common back then. I still think that Trabant is the closest, unless someone can find an exact match. -- Last edit: 2014-01-11 20:42:43

| ChoclitBunny wrote ... and you're kidding too, aren't you...?!!! Trabant is a German car make, but you cannot compare apples with pears!!! But it does match? I know the game image is very unclear, but the roofline and vertical taillights look a lot like the image posted above. I've looked around the web, but it's impossible to find a better image of this car. The car on the image probably isn't as square as it looks, as the VW Golf in this game is also really square. That's why I think it's a rounder Trabant. -- Last edit: 2014-01-11 16:48:49 | |

The rear styling is like the Opel Commodore, although the rearlight units are a bit different, but I cannot find any other car that comes closer... upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bf/Opel_Commodore_A_rear_20080126.jpg It also makes sense to use an Opel Commodore (their largest luxury sedan from the 60's) as a taxi cab.
