@J-2 yes, at least Driver 1 was set in present day (1999) according to the developers, despite the fact that the cars are old.

It's a Chevrolet Caprice turned into a limousine, the front and rear textures are from a Caprice.

I just noticed a Yahoo games ad on Las Vegas, so despite the 70's look of the game, we have to assume it's based on modern times (Same with Driv3r, it looked like it was set on the early nineties, but Tanner used a modern Nokia)
