the car hire company of Lanzarote (oh my gosh! But it was the only non-wikipedia source i have found) states that it is named for the roman city of "Lutetia" and Lutetia is the predecessor of what is now known as "Paris", so for japanese market they chose to make a connection to France in the name ^^

C'est la première Lutecia sur IGCD.
Mais le nom "Lutecia" aurait il un rapport avec la ville de Lutèce dans l'Empire romain?
