| Is Doncaster Works the right thing to classify as the manufacturer? Wouldn't; London North Eastern Railway be better? The website has always called stuff by the company that made it, not the factory it was made. I know WW2 tanks are usually classified by their factories, but that's different. Those were made by a country that commissioned a factory to make them, not a company. This locomotive was made by a private company, i.e; the London North Eastern Railway. I mean; we call it the Ford Crown Victoria, not the St. Thomas Assembly Crown Victoria. That's just my two cents. |
