2018-01-28 03:54 | That's because the XLR was based on the Y platform utilized by the Corvette, and built in the same factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The XLR-V was, in fact, barely more powerful than a base model C6, and the base XLR was a snail in comparison to the base model C6. That was mainly because of the underpowered Northstar V8s under the hood, as opposed to the more powerful LS series engines in the Corvette. Aside from being more luxurious, the XLR was the Corvette's lesser brother. |
