The car is refered to as vantage NOT V8 vantage on multiple sources unlike previous gen. Reverting to what it was

The other way round. The DB10 was inspired by early draws of the Vantage. When the 007 movies people went to Aston Martin to select a car for Spectre, they saw the drawings and liked it, but since it was too early for the Vantage to be revealed, the DB10 came into existance for that purpose.
