This car got to participate officially in Group B? As 1986 was when Group B was demolished (Supposedly), I don't know if this car got to participate.

what is research?

"... Toivonen and Cresto's deaths, combined with the Portugal tragedy and televised accident of F1 driver Marc Surer in another RS200 which killed co-driver Michel Wyder, compelled the FIA to ban all Group B cars immediately for 1987. Audi decided to quit Group B entirely after the Corsica rally."

The S1 E2 made its debut at the 1985 Rally Argentina, with Stig Blomqvist driving.
This variant was successful in the rally circuit, with Walter Röhrl and Christian Geistdörfer winning the 1985 San Remo Rally.
A modified version of the E2, was also driven by Michèle Mouton.
The S1 E2 would become the final Group B car produced by Audi, with the works team withdrawing from the Championship following the 1986 rally in Portugal.
The final factory cars of 1986 were rated at 600 PS (441 kW; 592 hp)
