| generalrusty78 wrote They barely even look like it I mean you have the same chunky and sweeping c-pillar same quad headlight clusters at the same level as the horizontal-slatted grille same flared wheel arches same overall shape/dimensions - like most/all cars in the GTA series the Esperanto/Roman's Taxi probably borrows heavily from several cars, but to say that it 'barely even looks like' the '82-83 AMC Concord? | RealCarter wrote It looks more like a 1982 Lincoln Continental to me en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_Continental#/media/File:82LincolnContinental.jpg The shape of the wheel arches are quite similar, but apart from that, I'd still say it's mostly based on a Malibu: i.imgur.com/sOPoaVl.jpg Not to mention that Lincoln is also too luxurious choice for a police car or a taxi. | |
| Mathias98 wrote Okay, then what do you think it is? Because it's surely not a '80 Seville. It looks more like a 1982 Lincoln Continental to me en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_Continental#/media/File:82LincolnContinental.jpg | |
| RealCarter wrote To be honest, i can't see a Malibu here. Also, Albany is a GTA version of Cadillac Okay, then what do you think it is? Because it's surely not a '80 Seville. And yes, Albany is Cadillac in the GTA world, but a lot of vehicles in GTA 4 have wrong manufacturers: The Huntley (Range Rover), the Speedo (Chevy Express), the Bobcat (Chevy C-10) are all manufactured by Vapid (Ford), the Feroci (Lexus GS) is made by Bravado (Dodge), the Ingot (Nissan Stagea) is Vulcar(Volvo), etc. | |

| I know that this car has been listed as a Cadillac Seville for years, but could someone explain to me why? Because it doesn't matter how I look at it, I just can't see any similarity: cdn1.mecum.com/auctions/fl0120/fl0120-395529/images/img2638-1577643485148@2x.jpg?1577643513000 barrettjacksoncdn.azureedge.net/staging/carlist/items/Fullsize/Cars/157834/157834_Rear_3-4_Web.JPG The way I see it, it looks like a 1982 Chevrolet Malibu with a different C-pillar, and with the taillights of a 1982 Pontiac Bonneville: i.pinimg.com/originals/14/00/75/140075444354eaa17985dc53e747b9b8.jpg images.thetruthaboutcars.com/2010/04/CC-71-071-800.jpg Also, Roman's Taxi and the Police Roadcruiser are based on the Esperanto, and I doubt that a Cadillac would be used as taxi or a police car. -- Last edit: 2020-12-02 20:21:23 | |
| also has the tail-lights of an Ford LTD | |
| Nope. It still looks like a Seville to me, but the name is referencing Eldorado. | |
| it looks more like a '75 Nova | |
| SwindonSwine wrote It looks like the 1982 Cadillac Cimarron Well I see your point, but Cimarron is a quite small car, and this isnt exactly what you would call "smaller than aircraft carrier". | |
| It looks like the 1982 Cadillac Cimarron s.hswstatic.com/gif/1980-1989-cadillac-4.jpg | |
| Since it's a sedan, I'd go with the 82-87 Continental, with Mark VII windows (they used the same Fox platform, but this is a sedan) and the nose of a first generation Seville. | |
| Nope, it's a Lincoln Mk VII, with different front and back fascias exactly like 440 Mopar wrote. -- Last edit: 2014-05-09 17:54:54 | |

| Nope. | |
| It's maybe a Mercury Grand Marquis 1986 | |

This is the (1976) Seville model i think its based in:![]() As you see, the front end its quite similar to the Malibu; and it has the "spirit" i thought about ![]() On the other hand, i still agree with you on the fact that the rear looks like a Lincoln MkVII made into a four door, and the fact about the Pontiac taillights. -- Last edit: 2008-10-17 12:46:47
| booster wrote I think 440mopar is correct in every detail he has listed. But if we have to choose a car, i think it has the spirit of a Cadillac Seville. But that doesn't really make much sense does it? It's seville because you say it has the spirit of one, even though you agree not a single body panel looks like one? To be honest I'm not sure what I'd call it either, since it's a mix of 3 cars. Maybe the Pontiac since the front and rear are GM G bodies, and you see the back end most of the time. All I know it's really nothing like a Seville at all. ![]() | |

I don't think it's a Seville at all. The body lines and quarter window look EXACTLY like a Lincoln MkVII made into a four door.![]() The grill is from a 82-83 Chevy Malibu ![]() and the taillights are from a 81/82 Pontiac Lemans or 83-86 Bonneville ![]()
