This is marvellous. You can do so much modifications, even chop the roof and remove the fenders and hood.

The one found in the barn did have the same colour scheme as the toy, although it didn't have the modifications.

1932 Ford seems about right. Hot Wheels is releasing a version of their '32 Ford casting in the mainline this year, maybe the paint scheme it'll be found in the barn with will be red with flames, like this:
