Star Wars Fanatic 2006-12-10 20:15 | Compared to previous installments of Need For Speed, this was a step in the direction with the re-inclusion of police chases, a clear staple of the series in my opinion. The tuning aspect still remained but was suitably toned down, and the game took place entirely in the daytime rather than at night. Unfortunately, the PS2 version of the game contained a truly dire framerate, hampering the game somewhat. Still, it is at least a worthy entry into the continually growing Need For Speed franchise. |

The Festiva is an actual civilian car that you can see driving around, unlike the non-pizza Festiva that is listed, which is an undetailed prop version only seen on the 18-wheeler car carrier trailer. |

k9underdogg 2012-09-24 16:29 | Well, if you ever wanted to get car mods for Most Wanted, you don't need to actually replace the original cars. There's this thing called mod loader (it comes with the ferrari 360 mod) that creates a new *.exe and a folder for you to put mod cars. So you can then chose to use the original exe to play with original cars, or the mod loader exe to use the downloaded cars (I mean, yes the cars DO replace the ones from the game but you don't need to replace the files and you can easily choose to play with the original game or the modded one). It's pretty cool. Vinyl mods are a little harder to instal, since they are usually 2 images (normal one and alpha) that you need to import into the car's vinyl file. You'll need NFS-TexEd for that (there's other texture editors but this one is the best imo), and maybe MW Graphics DXTBmp to convert the files into a format that NFS-TexEd can use if they are in png or another format. It still had some fair customization, and it had a storyline you had to continuesly work on. Not something you could beat in a few hours.
