Star Wars Fanatic 2007-04-09 00:23 | A splendid return to the series, as it incorporated realistic police pursuits into the formula once again. Unfortunately after this came the dismal and unforgivable downward turn that was the Need For Speed Underground series. |
robmath 2008-05-11 17:04 | this is awesome , i always play this , I have no idea why its so hated ?! |
Emi-hime 2009-04-02 17:45 | It's definitely one of the better entries in the NFS series. |
holden nut 2009-07-05 10:04 | there is another ferrari missing in those pics, the 360 MODENA. |
Maltravers 2009-11-16 15:32 | Nice game. |
Virtua Stig 2010-01-26 07:54 | Undoubtedly my favourite entry in the series. Back in the days before the modifying scene came along and ruined it and Ferrari stil allowed EA to use thier cars. Now its just a mess really. This is what Need for Speed should be like. Driving the finest cars in unique enviroments. Who cares about realism, open world and modifying? There are other games series that will do those much, much better. Are you listening EA? |
holden nut 2010-05-29 01:44 | love the intro when the police lamborghini diablo 6.0 VT drifts around the corner in slow-mo. ![]() |
strike9 2010-10-06 23:19 | i disagree name one game that has a more indef modification system, Gran turismo doesn't count since you cant modify the cars appearance |
sajmon14 2011-04-16 12:38 | just noticed the firetruck is missing |
TakuFD3S 2011-04-28 05:01 | there is also Ferrari 360 Modena in PS2 version of NFS HP2 |
carcrasher88 2011-09-01 19:23 | MC:LA or any Forza game. Checkmate. |
iWYL 2012-01-03 13:42 | Thought it would be nice to revive this page with high quality screens and more correct car names for it. ![]() Posting the first batch of screens for the cop ones: 1997 Ford Crown Victoria img525.imageshack.us/img525/9102/nfshp22012010320091666.png 2002 Ford TS50 img850.imageshack.us/img850/6243/nfshp22012010320103346.png 2002 BMW M5 [E39] img189.imageshack.us/img189/4204/nfshp22012010320112413.png 2002 HSV Coupé GTS img267.imageshack.us/img267/5232/nfshp22012010320143113.png 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R img406.imageshack.us/img406/3510/nfshp22012010320154161.png 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C5) img600.imageshack.us/img600/1796/nfshp22012010320181968.png 2000 Dodge Viper GTS img42.imageshack.us/img42/6545/nfshp22012010320220865.png 2000 Porsche 911 Turbo (996) img256.imageshack.us/img256/3002/nfshp22012010320230196.png 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 img703.imageshack.us/img703/5295/nfshp22012010320265125.png 2002 Lamborghini Murciélago img210.imageshack.us/img210/6991/nfshp22012010320275389.png |
RacingFreak (102) 2012-01-03 14:21 | Glad you're here, Winyu! The page needed some major refresh since a while. Nice job ![]() |
LongTail 2012-03-02 19:59 | I'm 110 per cent sure that I've seen a forth generation Camaro in the intro of this game. |
koolestboy 2012-11-12 19:30 | Best game in the Need for Speed history!!! ![]() Played this since I was 12! ![]() |
koolestboy 2012-11-27 16:05 | The only Gran Turismo game that actually has customization is GT5. Link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdZsm4s1DLw |
Tycek 2012-11-27 16:47 | Are you calling simple (one way only) model change without possibility of even changing the color a customization? Good joke, pal. |
Fellian 2013-04-18 13:11 | Finally got this game today ![]() |
Fellian 2013-04-18 13:12 | You can respray the car after applying the race mods actually |
Gaben1337 2013-07-08 08:04 | I remember Fever for the Flava |

Skyline159 2014-04-12 12:58 | Missing Cars PS2 Only : Ferrari 360 Modena is Ready. |
ItsaUserName 2014-04-12 16:41 | AFAIK, this is one of the very few games out there post-1994 that have better graphics on the console versions than the PC one. |
carcrasher88 2015-04-14 18:11 | Uploads complete for now. Haven't unlocked the normal CLK GTR yet, and I'm not gonna use the NFS Edition to fill in. There might be a couple more prop vehicles in some other tracks (fairly sure there's at least one fire truck in the forest tracks, for example), but I think this is good enough for the moment. Very sure I got every traffic vehicle in the game. |
carcrasher88 2015-04-14 22:47 | Also, for those who don't know, there are only 5 police cars in the PlayStation 2 version of this game. Four of the cars are unlockable twice, as they have to be unlocked for use in Be The Cop mode, and then again to be used as a racer in other game modes. The CVPI, on the other hand, is unlocked for You're The Cop (known as Be The Cop in other versions), but has to be unlocked for it to be available as a racer. Those vehicles are the CVPI, M5, SVT Cobra R, Z06, and Murcielago. The other cop cars on this page are only available in the EA Seattle developed version for PC, GameCube, and Xbox. Also, the NFS Editions of every car in the game (except for the M5 and Z8, as there are no NFS versions of BMWs in the game) look different between versions. For example, the PS2 NFS version of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is yellow with black and white decals (including a completely blacked out rear), inspired by the C5R race car, while the PC/GC/XBX NFS version is painted orange with black tribal decals. Burn Rubber 2015-04-14 23:08 | I used to play this game for hours. ![]() |
Burn Rubber 2015-04-14 23:13 | Well I never knew that. And I have the PS2 version. ![]() |
Burn Rubber 2015-04-15 05:04 | We need to add the NFS versions of all the cars. *Also. The two firetrucks from National Park. -- Last edit: 2015-04-15 05:07:54 |
Anjasmara 2015-10-24 23:54 | In PC Games you can buy the car. |
Burn Rubber 2016-05-10 22:27 | Yeah it was a great game. ![]() |
Burn Rubber 2016-05-10 22:31 | I only played it on PS2. I'd love to play the PC one though. |
speedfreak975 2016-07-06 19:45 | new carmagedddon game , max damage. if someone wants to add it. failrace uploaded an early gameplay video. game isnt released yet |
Burn Rubber 2016-07-06 20:20 | Page is already here |
speedfreak975 2016-07-06 20:33 | i meant a video showing gameplay , adding new cars. nevermind ill add them |
enzo96 2016-07-07 02:28 | I personally preferred the pc , GameCube, and Xbox version, the physics was even better and more better, graphic wise also better and more po,ice cars choices than the ps2, I felt sorry for ps2 owners at that time because they never got to experience the game the same as the other versions |
JRC99 2016-07-07 12:41 | I'm afraid not. The graphics in the PS2 version are MUCH better. I've played both, and I'd take the PS2 version all day, every day of the week, every week of the month, etc. Physics wise I don't remember a difference. |
Burn Rubber 2016-07-07 13:01 | PS2 version was amazing. I still play it today. The only thing the PC port had going for it was mod support |
sajmon14 2016-07-07 13:10 | Judging by the pictures I've seen the PS2 version has cooler NFS Edition paintjobs, dunno if the rest of the game is better too. |
carcrazedalex586 (5) 2016-07-22 17:20 | The Mediterranean tracks appear to take place in Greece, due to the Greek signs and ruins. |
DJThanos 2016-10-09 12:47 | The PS2 version of the game is the definite one! Better graphics, better car models and textures, better track detail and layouts, the exclusive Desert tracks, better pursuits and physics. The Xbox, GC and PC versions had a 0.5 second delay for the controls and that applies to crashes even, making grinding against a wall look silly. PS2 everyday man. Also the firetrucks are missing from the page -- Last edit: 2016-10-09 12:48:18 |
carcrazedalex586 (5) 2016-12-15 17:27 | Every track (except for the Mediterranean tracks, which take place in Greece) in the game takes place in the US due to the traffic driving on the right and US MPH speed limit signs are present. |
Burn Rubber 2016-12-15 17:51 | -Speed signs are a developer oversight most likely. -Many US games don't used other driving laws per country due to the players wouldn't think to drive that way. (Test Drive Brotherhood Of Speed did this as well AFAIK for an example.) -- Last edit: 2016-12-15 17:52:38 |
carcrazedalex586 (5) 2016-12-16 09:43 | But I'm talking about the PS2 version. That was developed in Canada. The Greek tracks never used US speed limit signs. Also, the "Alpine" tracks are most likely in the Alpine climate, not the European Alpine mountain range. -- Last edit: 2016-12-16 09:43:25 |
uglyman323 2017-02-06 01:20 | The NFS Edition cars depend in the version changes the design for example, the Corvette in PS2 looks like Corvette C5R design and in the PC as orange with tribal the viper as a blue flames and in the PC has pearl green and etc |
Multijet 2017-03-25 10:10 | I uploaded screenshots of the interiors from the PS2 version |
Aginnon 2017-06-29 08:36 | I played the game on Windows 10, but the car models are brighter than normal, because of the graphics card I'm using (AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8580). Is there a fix for that? |
carcrasher88 2018-04-11 17:04 | Apparently there were two traffic models cut from the PS2 version of the game, a Ford Econoline ambulance and a coach bus, similar to the one in the XBX/GC/PC version, but with a company livery on it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi9w-D8Szvc |
