RacingFreak (102) 2011-12-01 17:02 | I finally got it qorking properly in PCSX2 so I have started uploading snapshots from it ![]() This is page for the Playstation 2 version, for the Gameboy Advance version, go here. |
Star Wars Fanatic 2011-12-01 17:07 | Good to finally see this being submitted, so well done RacingFreak! Nice to see an early game with a UK location, too. |
RacingFreak (102) 2011-12-01 18:18 | Okay so, I have got all cars unlocked right now, so the game could be possible finished till tomorrow or Monday ![]() |
k9underdogg 2011-12-01 18:53 | This game rocked! It was probably the first street racing game inspired by the Fast and the Furious. |
RacingFreak (102) 2011-12-01 19:12 | Correction - The Fast and the Furious movie has been released in 2001, so inspiration from FnF is impossible. Midnight Club: Street Racing has got the whole inspiration by the competitive street racing and import scene, which were very popular at that time ![]() And the game is just brilliant, I gave it 10/10 in the ratings. You can have fun with hours, even days when playing it ![]() |
k9underdogg 2011-12-01 21:12 | Whoa, didn't know that the game came before :O that makes it even more awesome! ![]() -- Last edit: 2011-12-01 21:13:35 |
RVR72GV 2011-12-02 01:22 | Fun fact: This, and the entire Midnight Club series were developed by Angel Studios, the maker of Midtown Madness series. |
J-2 2011-12-02 02:31 | They did Midtown Madness I and II. MM3 was made...by DICE (Makers of Battlefield and Mirror's Edge) |
RacingFreak (102) 2011-12-02 09:03 | Not exactly. As Angel Studios they made the entire Smuggler's Run series and the first two Midtown Madness games. They also made Test Drive Off-Road Wide Open and Midnight Club: Street Racing under Rockstar Games. Since 2002 (after releasing Smuggler's Run: Warzones for Gamecube), they are known as Rockstar San Diego and released the other Midnight Club games since Midnight Club II ![]() I recently submitted pictures for Test Drive Off-Road Wide Open, which will be completed after I finish Midnight Club: Street Racing. IGCD atm is missing only Smuggler's Run: Warzones, which is the next game in my to-do list and will be added soon ![]() |
RacingFreak (102) 2011-12-02 16:08 | More later. |
SolanaBogon 2011-12-02 19:48 | The car on the jacket looks a Renault Mégane: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=32 -- Last edit: 2011-12-02 19:54:10 |
Takumi 2011-12-02 20:31 | Finally !!! |
Takumi 2011-12-02 20:35 | C'est une Eclipse |
RacingFreak (102) 2011-12-02 21:09 | Glad you like ![]() As Takumi also said, this is an Eclipse (you mean the yellow car, right?) and it also appears in the game ![]() |
2011-12-06 15:13 | Looks fun, I have the GBA version |
CA_NES 2011-12-06 22:51 | Huh, I coulda sworn this game was already on here, weird. |
RVR72GV 2011-12-07 00:31 | That's the GBA version |
RacingFreak (102) 2011-12-07 17:38 | All the playable cars including the bonus Buggy from Smuggler's Run has been added. Coming up next are the traffic cars ![]() |
RacingFreak (102) 2011-12-13 09:34 | Zender's Type-S:![]() |
Ritsu Tainaka 2011-12-31 13:46 | All playable vehicles are complete? |
RacingFreak (102) 2011-12-31 14:00 | Yes. Only left for now are the traffic vehicles, these are coming later on ![]() |
I NEED NAWZZZ 2012-05-20 12:46 | Mazda MX3. In fact it's the exact same one as this image: www.imcdb.org/vehicle_269707-Mazda-MX-6-1993.html |
lcpdcv 2012-06-21 18:55 | RF....still no traffic vehicles? |
NismoR35 2012-07-29 09:45 | Ah, how I miss driving certain traffic cars on this game. |
RacingFreak (102) 2012-07-31 11:19 | Intro replaced with my remastered and HD version upload. Enjoy ![]() PS I will soon add the missing cars ![]() |
lcpdcv 2012-07-31 17:28 | One helluva game, it's nuts what can be done with the AGE engine. |
lcpdcv 2012-12-22 04:47 | OK, since RF took a permanent vacay from this page-I'll finish it. Just uploaded every New York traffic car, accept them please. -- Last edit: 2012-12-22 09:58:47 |
lcpdcv 2012-12-22 05:13 | Just uploaded all the London traffic vehicles as well-Accept them. Ignore the one blank submission-Enter key decided to be a prick. -- Last edit: 2012-12-22 05:17:11 |
lcpdcv 2012-12-22 08:15 | Added 2 MFG forklifts-they're not the same. One has a closed cab, one has an open one. Don't forget to accept all the traffic vehicles. -- Last edit: 2012-12-22 10:09:58 |
Hamisxa 2012-12-22 18:50 | Great game! Loved playing it! I still have an original PS2 PAL CD!! |
lcpdcv 2012-12-23 00:48 | Why not make an ISO and play it on PCSX2? R3113-R3278 are the ideal releases to play it on atm. -- Last edit: 2012-12-23 00:49:01 |
NismoR35 2012-12-23 05:42 | It's kind of funny how the first MC had a somewhat "wide" variety of traffic cars, especially with the traffic NYC taxi with the different hubcap/wheel design, pushbar, bumpers, and taxi signs which is somewhat a play on with GTA III's taxis, and same with the Nissan Atlas/Cabster. Then MC2 came around and still had an impressive variety. But then when it came to MC3 and then on, looks like the developers got lazy. |
lcpdcv 2012-12-23 05:52 | Sadly MC1 was the only one to do the "variant" thing. They're actually counted as different vehicles internally however. Completely agreed with the devs getting lazy with MC3. Bad textures and poor SFX compared to MC2 and MC1. |
NismoR35 2012-12-23 07:40 | Yeah, and when MCLA came around, they SORT OF redeemed with the traffic but then followed the way how the traffic cars were in the NFS games. Like mismatched horns, for instance, the Escalade having the compact car horn while the fictionalized Golf having a large horn. And then sometimes the semi trucks spawn with an invisible trailer on the highways which really threw you off if you tried to pass from behind but then ended up crashing into the unseen trailer. But yeah. |
lcpdcv 2012-12-23 07:51 | I completely gave up on MCLA. TOO realistic. I've heard of that bug, and iirc the traffic car horns are random. On the other hand, I found a fire truck horn in the SFX of MC. Time to AR Extract the archive, and see if I can find the traffic spawning data, and put the firetruck back in. There's also various .anim files for Tokyo peds. HOLY SHIT. Found this on CRoam2.aimap Alternate traffic set up, with copcars and the garbage truck included! There's even a race folder called "j01" J standing for Japan. How do I know? The 2 other folders are called "l01" for London and "m01" for Manhattan. Well, I got all excited for nothing. It's impossible to use a image program created .ISO(one created with the program itself, not burned from a disk) due to the PS2's overzealous security bullshit(boot sectors, special RAW data, all that faggotry). -- Last edit: 2012-12-23 09:21:14 |
RacingFreak (102) 2012-12-24 09:45 | Wait, you got it running on a new SVN? How O.o -- Last edit: 2012-12-24 09:45:35 |
lcpdcv 2012-12-24 09:48 | Nah bro, r3278 but with current plugins. |
Andra125 2012-12-31 10:34 | And, how is it possible to make the traffic cars drivable? Hacks? -- Last edit: 2012-12-31 10:34:24 |
lcpdcv 2012-12-31 10:47 | The hell are you talking about? The 6 drivable ones are bonus vehicles. ![]() |
Andra125 2012-12-31 10:48 | Oh, right. My bad, i have completely no expirience about this game... |
EscudoPikesPeak 2012-12-31 12:08 | Anyone have this game for PCX2? If so,gimme the link... I want download this game.... |
RacingFreak (102) 2012-12-31 15:14 | Last time I checked... you could still buy it. |
DreamKaster 2012-12-31 16:59 | Oh wow, I didn't see someone already made a page for this game! I just made one! Oh well, this game is pretty fun. Have it for PS2. ![]() |
Shinka Nibutani 2013-03-05 12:58 | That must be included as "Made for Game" from the vehicles list of this page. |
Shinka Nibutani 2013-03-05 18:32 | Can't wait to release this on PSN!!! I've never tried those cars before because i don't have PS2 from the year 2000! -- Last edit: 2013-03-05 18:32:41 |
RacingFreak (102) 2013-03-05 19:42 | Nope, it does not have wheels. |
ItsaUserName 2013-03-05 20:10 | Can't tell if sarcasm, or just highly detailed statement. |
Shinka Nibutani 2013-03-06 13:55 | It's out on PSN, guys! alongside with Midnight Club II! |
PikesPeak 2013-03-06 13:58 | how much is it? hope it's not expensive... |
Shinka Nibutani 2013-03-06 14:10 | Also, There is a playable ambulance in this game? |
RacingFreak (102) 2013-03-06 14:19 | Nope. You can only drive the cop cars. |
mechanicmoose 2013-04-06 18:29 | Yep officially released for PS3 now in digital form |
tupacserbia 2014-11-13 22:53 | RacingFreak helped me replace the terrible 20x20 144p Youtube rear shots done by bhw on the player vehicles. Thanks RacingFreak! |
Burn Rubber 2015-05-08 04:07 | The Zender Type-S is still not here. And before someone says it doesn't have wheels, look here. igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=6050 Almost the same design. It was accepted. We need the Type-S. |
Burn Rubber 2015-08-15 06:59 | Have we seriously gone this long not realizing that the Manufactre parts of the Surnames aren't there? Wow. I will fix the ones I know. But others I will have to get in my box of PS2 games and get Midnight Club and check. |
sajmon14 2015-08-17 21:53 | Gamecube version? Who added that? Please remove it |
Burn Rubber 2015-08-17 21:58 | Isn't this game on PC too? (Also, now me and my procrastinating self will get to those surnames now. ![]() |
Rinspeed 2015-08-17 22:00 | GBC = Game Boy Color |
Burn Rubber 2015-12-27 06:35 | Remove the GBA tag. It's not necessary as that version has another page. And add the PS3 tag as it is now available on Digital for that console. Also, This game is not really that amazing IMHO. It was turn-of-the-generation consoles, and it was just a PS1 game really. Not to mention that I was stuck in New York for 2 weeks because of that douche Kadeem. ![]() ![]() |
JDMracerocket96 2016-02-20 16:03 | weirdly the Jones goes from 4wd to fwd to rwd so every car has a different gear box |
Burn Rubber 2016-02-20 16:06 | Really? I don't remember drivetrains even being a specific kind at all on any of the cars |
JDMracerocket96 2016-02-20 16:09 | well look at the car select screen it will say drivetrain for any of the cars except the type s because it runs on a airfield |
ryan2t4 2016-03-26 11:03 | Maybe MM2 using mod of NY. |
Burn Rubber 2016-09-15 00:35 | So... I edited nearly every playable vehicle to have it's proper surname and fill in the "obtain" field... But only the Amata and Zender's actually got accepted... Reasoning behind this please? ![]() I did edit the Ascent to MFG due to user input, and I edited the Piranhas to Unknown since we determined the Clio V6 was made after the game. Okay, now I see that only the surnames were rejected. That makes even less sense... -- Last edit: 2016-09-15 00:40:48 |
AutoTracker 2016-09-15 01:30 | Actually it wasn't, because it appears in Gran Turismo 2 which is from 1999: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=2445 Still think though the Piranhas look more like Civics. |
Burn Rubber 2016-09-15 01:49 | Well blame Speedevil for that. ![]() |
Speedevil 2016-09-15 02:32 | The concept was unveiled in 1998. My bad. ![]() |
carcrazedalex586 (5) 2016-11-23 09:15 | The Crusero's variants aren't listed. -- Last edit: 2016-11-23 10:08:09 |
Sajmon14 2016-11-23 11:17 | All 3 of them are here |
carcrazedalex586 (5) 2016-11-23 12:34 | Oh yeah, I didn't look properly. |
