Spy Hunter is one of the most defining arcade driving games, and gained arguably as much recognition as Outrun. The premise was simple - you drive a gadget laden car and take on any pursuing enemies or obstacles that appear within the top down perspective. It was an instant success, and spawned numerous sequels, although the first of which did not live up to Spy Hunter's legacy. However, in 2001 Spy Hunter made a surprise comeback with a 3D remake on the PS2, and a movie is even planned for release next year.
