"Drift Stage is a modern evolution of the classic arcade racer, bringing the gameplay up to date a bit while keeping the late 80's style intact.

In these street races, speed reigns supreme. The art of the drift is easy to learn and immediately fun, but it's true depth and challenge are hard to master.

Drift Stage will feature a roster of cars inspired by the mid-late 80's and early 90's racing on tracks ranging from city streets to coastal beaches and many in between. The game comes fully loaded with single-player modes including a character oriented career mode, circuit races, and leaderboard chasing time trials. Local splitscreen and online multiplayer races will also be in full swing.

Drift Stage is currently targeting an initial PC/Mac release with a possible mobile/console release following."

There is also Ferrari 308 GTB (I think) on the Toyota screen. And just a heads up, if car manufacturer country is the same as country it was made for, the latter is not needed (i.e. Japan Made for Japan is unnecessary - just Japan will do).

Love the old school look and feel this appears to have, can't wait to see what the full car selection will be when it's complete.

I'm sure there's gonna be a bunch of other classics added over time.

It looks interesting indeed! Even the current cover appears as it was from a game first time released in 1990.

@Tycek, i tried adding the Ferrari yesterday but i think something went wrong. Also, thanks for the tip.

I hope American cars appear too.
I know, boat-like handling of B-body Caprice isnt good for that type of game, but Fox Mustangs are good in handling, they are even in drift competitions.
But US cars may ruin that 80s feeling, so I hope something like this appears: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=24968
... plus red Countach, every single 80s racing game have shiny red Countach :D

@JFK, I would assume a C4 Vette and a DeLorean can't be missed in this kind of game. And an 80s Mustang GT would be nice as well. I myself am hoping for the Toyota Supra 3.0 Turbo A, Subaru XT , Nissan 300ZX, Nissan March Super Turbo or a Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo (the old boxy one)

And yes, a countach would be unmissable, but i'd prefer it if it were white/black/yellow. Leave the red for a Testarossa or F40, or a Lamborghini Jalpa :)

Too bad a 2nd gen Honda Prelude is FWD, maybe they can add an AWD conversion for it :P

And if he game will have cockpit like Test Drive 2 or Car and Driver game with iconic dot on steering wheel, it would be awesome!
I forgot Porsche 959! 80s racing game without Porsche 959 is clearly a not from 80s

Set Damageable vehicles as NO - If you hit wall, you slow down, but car looks like before.
By the way, I founded some really interesting vehicles: Fiat X1/9, Ferrari Modulo, Jehle Saphier, Škoda 110 Super Sport "Vampire from Ferat", Lancia Stratos Zero, Argyll GT, Vector W8

Never heard of a Jehle Saphier or Argyll GT, and now I wish I'd never heard of it. They don't look very pretty. Nor does the Skoda. But i'm all up for a Vector as an american Addition and the Fiat also looks nice.

Some other cars i thought of are the Old Toyota AW11 MR-2 and the Nissan MID-4.

Agryll is from Scotland and it was known for his "excellent reliability", wery few were built.
Jehle Saphier is one of Liechtenstein cars, they did also a 1000HP version of it! And it have literally wedge shape :O
Škoda is one of very rare communist prototypes of supersport, originally was white with many lights in the back, but in 1981 it was rebuilded (for example, new rear lights from normal Škoda that went for sale about 3 years later) to something like batmobile for film "Vampire from Ferat", car sucked blood from gas pedal or something like that, I never really saw this movie. For Czechoslovakia, it was a supersport indeed, because it went over 180 kilometers per hour. (and yes, I suggest it because i am little bit patriot :) )
Damn, that Toyota AW11 MR-2 looks good! Lot of sharp edges, I love it!

Who is the developer for this game?
Seriously, this game looks fantastic, seems like one of the best promising titles

Quotex93 NL (1)

2015-01-08 16:07

The developer seems to be called Super Systems™ judging by the Splash Screen on the intro, and also the big office building on the track.

A Pre-alpha demo has been released recently on their website (www.driftstagegame.com/)

And a Kickstarter Fundraiser is coming at the end of this week according to their twitter.

The Kickstarter was a success, to celebrate they released a new update showing a new addition to the vehicle list: A BMW M3 E30, and a new song.

What happened to the game?

chaindritez TH (0)

2017-05-22 06:02

I added couple of cars which the devs have been annouced since September last year and two weeks before.

@EnZo96 Don't worry it's not dead. the devs are now developing the Steam Early Access build which is very nearly complete and going to be release soon before E3 this year.

this is the latest progress update on kickstarter that posted 4 hours ago : www.kickstarter.com/projects/1910344764/drift-stage/posts/1891277
