Stunning looking title from a brand new developer, this is supposidly GTA set in an Island. Over the top stunts are the real meat of this game, with the ability to skydive out of burning planes and then hijack a boat on landing and a grappling hook that you can use to hook up to any moving vehicle. Pure fun.

What about the other vehicles?

Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)

2007-01-10 23:44

Yes, they will be done as I have this game, though not on Xbox 360.

austinallegro, please try to refrain from copping images, it is only really necessary when removing watermarks.

This game looks very Blade Runner-ish.

Not bad at all, although the ghost of GTA (Vice City action in rural San Andreas) is everywhere. The cars are clearly inspired in real vehicles, but they have been intentionally modified, sometimes with a certain taste.

far cry poland

PS2 version was absolute bullshit. It felt like Action 52 compressed into a GTA clone. Almost no animations for the character, falling was just a stable position, the physics made me go WTF, the graphics, well, compare it to GT4, MC3 and NFSMW/NFSC which came out less than a year before and look how crappy this one was. Really should've put more time in the PS2 port, otherwise it could have been a lot more fun like the other versions were.

They made this game for the 360 and PS2,wonder why they couldn't make it for the PS3

Well, looks like I won't do this. None of my shots apart from the front view of the Vaquero are accepted. I thought I'd fix this but apparently this particular video game's shots cannot be replaced.
I'd like to know WHY. Because some of these are prerelease screens and they cannot stay forever.
Anyone want to explain why? It's not like iRacing, y'know.

Is there a reason why my shots are not being accepted (The ones showing the vehicle at a proper angle and with no damage)? Please tell me. Some of the game's shots are pre-release shots. I want to know why. Because if it's not about having nothing but the vehicle in the shot, then why do I bother with this page?

TrueCrime US (99)

Never mind, they got accepted. Sorry about that. Can you remove my comments please?

For anyone wondering the game's plot and concept is about, here it is:
It's set in the fictional South American island of San Esperito, a tropical island composed of several islands. Don't let the beautiful jungles fool you, as the entire island is corrupted by a dictatorship under the leadership of Salvador Mendoza. He's also got the Montano Cartel on his side, and with the supplies, drugs, etc, they've made the island dangerous. The Agency, led by Rico Rodriguez and Tom Sheldon, are assigned to overthrow the corrupted government while liberating every province in San Esperito, alongside taking out the Montano Cartel.

Facts about the game:
-It's the largest open-world game at the time, even bigger than GTA: San Andreas.
-The main aspect of the game revolves around the grappling hook, which in this game was only used to tether cars.
-It's also suffering from a lack of polish and slogging repetition in the sidemissions.
-The difficulty is unreal as you progress through the game. A couple of hits from an armored tank (on foot) can and will kill you.
-Every time you die, you lose all of your weapons except the grappling hook and your fallback dual revolvers.
-There's no shortage of how you can stunt your vehicles.
-This is the only Just Cause game that has police as the law enforcement.
-Gunplay is fussy because of the auto-lock system, even though there is a precision shot mode.
-Tanks would normally turn the tide in battle, but not the case here. The auto-lock system, again, is punishing and the fact that most tanks are easily destroyed in roughly two hits anywhere, against reality, this makes tank combat a pain.
