It wouldn't make much sense for the developers to have a Karmann Ghia compete with other sports cars in this game since it's way too slow compared to the others. It's much more probable that it's Porsche 911 with modified tail lights to avoid licensing issues (they did the same with a few unplayable cars like the F50). Also, 911's were well known in the Japanese media - a lot of Japanese racing games features them. | |
