If the artist was trying to depict a SLK, why there is a black "spoiler"-like bar on the sprite? Stock SLK does not have rear spoiler. However, the production version of the New Beetle was designed by Peter Schreyer in 1997 at VW's HQ in Wolfsburg, Germany. This is also where production started before moving to Mexico in 1999. Unlike those Brazilian and Chinese VW's, the New Beetle is not exclusive to the American market. In fact, certain key models such as the New Beetle RSi were never available in America. | |
