Judging by the overall look (especially the rear lights) this is something from the U.S. if it is based on something real.
"Made For Game"? | ||
The rear lights remind me of a Porsche 924/944 but thatīs all about it. Overall I would say "Made For Game". -- Last edit: 2014-03-19 18:01:05
The in-game vehicle description claims that the origin is USSR but I thought this is a U.S. vehicle!
According to the in-game vehicle description the origin is West Germany. Iīm pretty sure that is a mistake!
Although not every detail fits perfectly a MAN SD is the closest I have found so far...

shurr wrote It was a Home Guard vehicle, an enormous one, built onto the bus chassis, for the particular use of London Passenger Transport Board Home Guard at the Chiswick Depot of London Transport. They were not really armoured only built up from mild steel plate but naturally to a very high standard. www.tankmuseum.org/ixbin/indexplus?record=ART4017&_IXMENU_=news_and_events Interesting link! Thanks for posting that.
The car looks like a concept.
Sherman? | ||
Sorry in the game it was said itīs a Barracuda.
This page is about the police car.
BeanBandit wrote Countach. Yes I thought it could be an early Countach concept.

I think this is a Lamborghini Concept Car since the man leaning against it is Ferruccio Lamborghini itself.
BadHairDay wrote well the rear bumper has those stripes that remind me of a 959 but the overal shape is a 911, I guess from the 80s since the game is meant to be OutRun I was also thinking of a mixture between a 911 and a 959 (with the 911 as the biggest influence). Maybe "Made For Game" could be a solution here!
According to the game this is a (trashed) 1970īs Ford! Shall I leave it "Made For Game" or shall we change it to "Ford unknown"?
The introduction is a summary of the first game. This car already appeared there: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=63624
The sequelīs intro summarizes the events occuring in this game. The car is seen there again: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=63627
I think it is the same model like the cars parked in front of and behind it.
It comes in 2 different paint jobs: "MOMOR PRODUCTIONS" and "RETRO REMAKES".
walter wrote Rather a 5000 since it looks to be set in the USA (and by the rear plate space size). Odd choice for a US police car though. The game is not set in the U.S. but instead in Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Germany. I agree that it looks like a U.S. model.
Early model of the 2CV. It lacks the rear side windows. Iīm not 100 percent sure but I think they were made like this until 1960.

hanwoo wrote I can't drive this vehicle because door is locked. I think it is only driveable during The Truths mission "BODY HARVEST". If I remember correctly it is even locked directly after it. I canīt remember if I had spotted it elsewhere. I pressume the screenshots of it were taken with the help of a vehicle-cheat.
ItsaUserName wrote Same one the helicopter crashed into the back of? Yes it is supposed to be. The level you drive it is based on the van - helicopter chase from the movie. Normally I would have added it as "Made For Game" but since it resembles the scene I decided to use the data from the cars IMCDB page I posted above.

"Made For Game" or can it be identified?
Carisma? | ||
The grille looks like it belongs to a Jeep. I know that Jeep made all kinds of vehicle besides the better known offroaders, but I have never heard of a bus. I think "Made For Game" is the most possible (or other manufacturers used a similiar design).
