thanks. Maybe this joke was a bit over the top, even for 1st of April. I did something similar last year though. I'm sorry if anyone really got offended. I'll delete the comments ASAP ... -- Last edit: 2011-04-01 22:04:10
1963 was the first year for the Cortina.
Maybe a 2007 Fleetwood Southwind: www.johnsonrv.com/assets/inventory//4797%202007%20Fleetwood%20Southwind%2032V%20002.jpg
1997+ [T22], model origin EU . . .
If it's really an Avensis (I'm not sure by the look of the bumper and some other stuff), it would be a 2003+ [T25] and the origin would be Europe, not Japan!
1998-2002 would be more correct.
Why specifically 2000? They all looked the same between 1998 and 2002, didn't they?
MB Actros, I agree. | ||
I think it looks more like a Mazda 323 BG, to be honest.
Forgive me for ruining your hopes, but it's not: www.igcd.net/vehicles.php?make=chevrolet&model=s-10&width=1680
1981 not 1980 | ||
I agree with Bugra, definitely a 1981-82 Datsun Cherry/310 [N10]. And I also agree about it being a nice car
WTF close to all RS200s are listed as model origin USA at the site rename them all to model origin UK, please. Nonetheless
Now we're talking! Well, the CR-X which it's based off, I consider a coupé, since it's basically a shortened Civic with a bit more power under the hood, however, this one ... I'd call it coupé too. To be honest, if I were to call it a hatchback, I'd pronounce it hunchback intentionally I'm not really a fan of retro "wannabe" cars.
I really don't see why this should even really be counted as an exception. As I've understood, we all go for the rear part when classifying vehicles, and this one has a hatch and even four doors, I guess that quite clearly makes it a hatchback. Some manufacturers tend to style sedans and hatchbacks more coupe-wise in order to achieve more sales, but they sure don't fool me. This is a car database, we follow our own system, not Porsche's or anyone else's. Maybe it would be better to include a new class just for newer oddities like this one and the BMW 5 GT, for example ... no, I think it's good enough the way it is, really.
BUMP - hatchback. Same goes for the other Panameras.
Hello welcome, make yourself at home
BUMP | ||
BUMP | ||
Yes. Definitely not 1958..
Rear looks a bit like a Felber Autoroller and the front seems somewhat like a Nobel 200.
It's okay. Actually I'm not that much of an expert either, I can just tell the model years for most models except 240 series and PV 444/544. It's not hard to learn that too, though
Who named this a 1962? Look at the grille: www.imcdb.org/vehicle_123982-Volvo-Amazon-Herrgardsvagn-P220-1962.html This is a 1965-66.
ShantJ wrote Wasn't Amazon simply a nickname? Amazon was used as a model name in Scandinavian markets. For the rest of the world, it was only a nickname. Nice example of the term Scandinavia and the rest of the world anyway, it's a 1965-66 model. AND P130!!! -- Last edit: 2011-03-25 23:50:23
1965-66 grille and [P130].
Just 1800 ES. There was never a "P1800 ES", as the P1800 was the short lived first British-made car which only came as a coupé. 1972+
This cannot be a 1980 US-spec Thing, seems the designers are playing around with random years again... wikipedia wrote Civilian sales began in Europe and Mexico during 1971, and in the U.S. in 1972, but the model was dropped from the American lineup for 1975 as it failed to meet new, stricter, safety standards.
This is a 1979-81 Golf, not 1977, see the bumpers. The fender reflectors are like the ones of a 1975+ US Rabbit, but the bumpers are not the same. The 1979+ US Rabbits had the same bumpers, but with square headlights. I'd say this is a 1979 VW Golf I with reflectors added just to make it appear more American.
1976-78. | ||
1976-78. | ||
Yes, and all Traviqs were RHD, too. Not sure where they were made, though.
No Japanese origin.. | ||
Yeah, I see what you mean, but why can't they say it the other way (yon)? That way they'd avoid this completely. Besides, the shi death kanji is way different from the shi four kanji, despite having the same pronounciation.
The designers obviously did not take time to check the correct model year. This is NOT a 1970. The 1970+ models had flat hubcaps and square indicators. This is a 1962-66 model, higher mounted headlights and round hubcaps.
Any reason why it's listed as made for USA? Because I don't see any reason why it should. First off, look at the wipers, they're the other way round which means this car is RHD. Secondly, the US-spec RX-3s had bigger bumpers. But it doesn't have the typical fender-mounted mirrors of Japanese Savannas, so strike that. This means the in-game car is modelled after an Australian, NZ, HK, GB or some other spec that has RHD. Anyway, back to my point, remove made for USA, please.
There's something I do not quite follow here, there's the Prius I, II, III (not IV) and V. What's the matter with IV, unlucky number perhaps? Or maybe some ppl down at Toyota don't know how to count. Anyway, I feel there should be a Prius I in the game to complete the family, you know what I mean?
Interesting, they put an original JDM one in the game, see the mirrors and the wipers. I prefer the Coupé over the Liftback for some reason though.
I meant 1986 back then -.-
1992-95. [A] should be in Mk, not chassis code.
No, this one is: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=31371
Def not a R5. More like Fiat Panda or Talbot Samba.
Still, the first in a game...
Austin 10/4 is way closer.
Canadian model origin.
Hey, model origin Canada, not USA.
Also Otis Electric Van.

Wow... screaming the words out actually works to get an ID confirmation? I might try this...
Seeing that it's still listed as a sedan... what do others think?
In shape, resembles somewhat a Rover SD1, doorhandles are typically Citroen CX, front looks sort-of like a Peugeot 309, all-in-all reminds you a bit of other cars such as Citroen XM, Renault 25 or 21 or maybe a Nissan Skyline R30 5-door... but none of these really match. I guess it's some concept car of the 80s-90s, but for now I think M4G. |
