1975 Ford Granada | ||
67' Bel-Air because of the trim and shape. The headlight coves were invented and the taillights were off a scamp.
NismoR35 wrote It wouldn't make no sense for a company like Dinka (which parodies Honda)has released all Honda based cars in IV, to have a late 60's to 80's large American station wagon in their model lineup, and I doubt they're going to take the Perennial from IV which has drastically improved, and them remake it back into an old station, of course there's a few cars with questionable changes like the Emperor debuting in San Andreas as a mid sized Japanese styled sedan resembling an Infiniti, to a large Cadillac in IV. But I seriously doubt they'd redo the Perennial into something that they had improved, unless they're twisted like that. And, he may have been referring to the red hatchback off to the right. So becoming an MPV counts as 'improved'? I can't say I agree, but whatever. I doubt he was talking about the hatchback, but even if he was, I still think that the logo looks to be a Dinka logo over a Dundreary logo, Perrenial over Regina etc. What's to say that the TLAD Regina returns unchanged? GTA is always full of surprises, so we'll have to wait to be sure.
Navigator, second generation.
That artwork makes it seem like the tailfins have some 57' Bel Air in them. The grille also seems like it is based off a 58' Cadillac. But GTA is just making a pastiche of late 50s cars here, they do it with everything.
As David points out, the logo on the grille is blurry but definitely looks like Dinka's logo: gta.wikia.com/Dinka I'm not sure of that, but it definitely does not look like a Dundreary logo: gta.wikia.com/Dundreary Since it is not a Dundreary (the brand that makes the Regina) and its probably a Dinka (the brand that makes the Perrenial), I am willing to bet that this is an older Perrenial, bringing back the theme from the 3D generation. However, this looks absolutely nothing like a Honda (what Dinka was based off of in GTA IV) from any time period. It does, however, look like the GTA LCS/VCS Perrenial: -- Last edit: 2013-01-06 01:43:20
Might be a Windsor, different body lines but similar grille and headlight coves.
Considering the locale, this might be the new Walton.
Could be a newer Regina but it also resembles the LCS/VCS Perennial. Considering the two generations of Schafter in TBoGT, an old Perrenial and a new one would not be to far-fetched.
I'm thinking a new Tornado. The Manana hasn't changed, so I doubt that the Voodoo has; and SA's Tornado was also a 58' Chevy.
called the 'Wellington'.
Yes, 58' Edsel. It was a seperate brand, and it launched with the 1958 model year in September of 57'.
yes, a Chaika | ||
Yep, Fastlane Goldwater. It says it on the side of the car and on billboards.
Yes, the name reads Montoyo on the rear.
In real life the Healey cost 1063 pounds at the time, or about 1600 dollars. That equates to around 16,000 dollars nowadays.
Solona is right with the name.
Solona, the real life Mainline has absolutely no trim. This has enough to merit being a Customline. Also, this should count as unlockable, it doesn't show up until the 50s chapters. -- Last edit: 2012-06-20 00:27:15
Somebody please capitalize the word Taxi in the name, it looks wrong.
It's called the Smith Custom 200 Police in the english version. Anyway, It's a 57' Ford Custom 200, the Mainline name was phased out in 56': en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Mainline Also, it doesn't show up until the chapters set in 1951, so it should be marked as unlockable.
With the extra trim it has, it must actually be a Super Wasp, instead of a normal Wasp. The standard Wasp was very spartan. 54' Super Wasp: farm3.staticflickr.com/2783/4023309372_25bb896f09.jpg Also, it does not show up until 1951, so it should be marked as unlockable.
I take back my statement. The Monterey was only applied onto coupes until 51'. So this is just '4-Door Sport Sedan' [M79]. Interestingly, it lacks the suicide doors it has in real life. www.cadvision.com/blanchas/ID-Cars/MercuryModels2.html Also, It does not arrive until 1951. So it should count as unlockable.

Very similar to the Schubert Six from the first Mafia.
Solana is right for the name. It doesn't show up on the streets until the 50s, It replaces the Ford AA used in the 40s.
Doesn't show up until the 50s, should be unlockable.

Unlockable. Doesn't show up until 1951, despite being a 30s car. The English version of the game calls it the Smith Deluxe Station Wagon. -- Last edit: 2012-06-20 00:02:34
Guys! This is all wrong. The International name on this is the 'Smith Custom 200'. It is not based off a Fairlane or a Fairlane 500, but a 57' Custom 300. It even has a little brightwork patch: www.chooseyouritem.com/classics/photos/2234000/2234477.1957.Ford.Custom.300.jpg. Also, there wasn't even a Customline model anymore after 1956. Also, it should be counted as unlockable since it does not come until a few missions into the 1951 chapter. -- Last edit: 2012-06-20 00:08:20
Same car with hardtop: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=37055&width=1280

Closest thing is That 70's show, but that was a 69'. Edit: Miss March has a 72' Cruiser (the only one in american film, according to IMCDB) but that's probably coincidental.

Unlockable, since you must reach Homicide first (Rusty's car). Also has army version and civilian coupe version EDIT: NOT A CONVERTIBLE, A SEDAN -- Last edit: 2011-05-29 19:03:01
